Skrull detection, who has it?

I was thinking about Secret Invasion and the tie-ins so far. And who has the game to weed out Skrulls and how?

Skrulls voluntarily unveil themselves when they want to pounce physically or detect a psychological opportunity on their side (e.g. Tony Stark). So could a few key Skrulls be tricked into revealing themselves that way? Weak, so discard that thought...

Ms. Marvel used a low-level energy wave to knock over humans but the Skrulls stood. Is that going to be reliable again? Probably not.......

Kill somebody and they revert to Skrull..... what about badly wounded heroes that have healing factors? Black Widow shooting Wolverine? (That codeword thing was bizarre unless Romanova knows a way to weed out Skrulls before issuing the codeword.)

The Wakandans obviously knew something.... they had Skrull heads on pikes. What did they know?

What else? There do seem to be some Skrull hero sympathizers..... maybe Lyja (Johnny Storm's girl) a little bit. Can she help?

Is Hulkling dead or not? Was he captured and is still a potential divisive points with the Skrulls because of his royal heritage?

SOooooooooooo........ roll out fleets of Wakandans?

What are the options? What else did I miss?

I know Dr. Strange showed he had the ability before, but I can't recall exactly when he did it. It was some time after the civil war, with the New Avengers. Of course, we must asume that Strange can do almost anything, as his limits are not always quite clear & defined, lol.

3D man (formerly Triathalon) has goggles that allow him to see who is a skrull or not (I think it was Avengers: Initiative 13 or 14.) However, Crusader (who is a sympathetic Skrull) has messed with his goggles so while in range of Crusader, it is reversed. Presumably with Crusader out of his area, they'll work fine.

The Wakandans stumbled upon the initial invasion by accident (one of the agents was killed in an unrelated incident and thus revealed himself); how they tracked down the various others is unknown, but Reed was able to find a detection method after having custody of Skrullektra's corpse for a few hours, and BP had at least that.

Lyja stayed in the Negative Zone at the end of the Secret Invasion: Fantastic Four tie in, so she probably won't be much help right now.

There are other Skrulls fighting on Earth's side. She-Hulk's partner Jazinda, daughter of the original Super-Skrull. John the Skrull, a John Lennon impersonator working for the British Government. Crusader a trainee at Camp Hammond, his ring allows him a degree of reality manipulation. Those two are doing what they can to help end this war, but they probably won't be able to domuch.

Khn'nr the skrull brainwashed to have Captain Marvel's memories and personality, he's definitely a major player in this event. On that matter some of the heroes from the Skrulls ship may decide to side with the heroes, like Mockingbird.

Hulkling was with the Young Avengers and the Initiative fighting off the Invasion in Times Square. They lost, and the Skrulls tried to destroy him during the fight. He's a threat to Veranke, because a great deal of the invading forces are still loyal to his family line. If it was revealed that he is Dorrek III to the army they may betray Veranke's cause. He hasn't been captured or killed yet because just as the Skrulls were attacking him, his friend Xavin, a former Super-Skrull in-training and a member of the Runaways, saved him and took him away from the battle.

Yes, it is said his goggles will work fine outside of 30-feet from Crusader, which he now is. Crusader also used the Freedom Ring's reality powers to show him Skrullowjacket's true form, although he was unable to do so prior to that (other than noticing Pyms taste for pickles and strawberries). Other Skrulls who are on the Human's side, like John the Skrull, have had problems recognizing these updated disguised Skrulls as well.

We also have the darts Shana and Ka-Zar used in the Savage Land that only stung Spidey, but killed Skrull-Cap, and Darwin in X-Factor who evolved an ability to detect Skrulls.

We don't know if this holds true for the new Skrull infiltration methods. Maybe thats why they need to team up with 3D Man?

So we've got a dozen or more people and ways. If Dr. Strange returns any issue now he should float a green halo over the head of all Skrulls within his powers range. ;-)

But they adapt..... hrmm. And we might even have non-Skrull sleepers who think they are Skrulls due to brainwashing that would go completely undetected regardless.

They've got just a few more issues to figure this out and get out of 'trust' mode.... otherwise this'll linger for years (and do we need another SI in a few years really?)...

Strange tried and failed to use magic to detect the Skrulls. Although his spell did make Spider-Woman a bit queesy, which in hind-sight was pretty important (Of course I and many others maintained that scene pegged her as a Skrull a long time ago).

Maybe. But I doubt they were looking for him and he just happened to crash in New Mexico where they were (based on the previews for A:TI #16). It's more likely they were tracking Skrull She-Thing when 3-D Man crashes there.

I am expecting some big things from the Kill Krew and would like to see them pick up a few more members like Crusader.

He didn't get the chance to say "I'm Dorrek VIII, son of Princess Anelle and rightful ruler of the Skrull Empire". He got blasted before he could even finish his sentence.

Not all of these skrulls are zealots, some of them are fighting because they're angry at the Earth and they're desperate, the Annihilation War nearly destroyed them all.

I think a good number of these skrulls would side with Hulkling if they found out who he is. But that would require Teddy leaving Earth and taking his place as Emperor, and he really does not want that.

I'm still worried that they said that not all the old members have made it. Which I take to mean "we've killed off moonstomp ino order to make the team more mainstream and PC, despite the fact that he was one of the more interesting characters in the team plot wise".
