It is still taking me a while to get used to this not having a regular LCS to visit...here's what DCBS will be shipping me this week:
ARCHAIA STUDIOS PRESS
Killer #7 (of 10), $3.95 - Finally! I can't remember a single thing that has gone on in this book through the first 6 issues though.
DC COMICS
DMZ TP Vol 05 The Hidden War, $12.99 - Pre-ordered through Amazon. Still need to read Vol. 4, which seemed like I just got a couple of months ago.
Nightwing #147 (Batman R.I.P.), $2.99 - Still reading. Hopefully this next arc won't be as long as the last.
Robin #176 (Batman R.I.P.), $2.99 - Last issue. I decided to drop when Dixon was fired and these last 2 issues had already been solicited and ordered by the time that announcement was made. I do love me some Joe Bennett art though.
MARVEL COMICS
Invincible Iron Man #4 (Salvador Larroca cover), $2.99 - Getting better with each issue.
Ultimate Origins #3 (of 5)(Gabriele Dell Otto cover), $2.99 - #2 was a definite improvement over the first issue.
Venom Dark Origin #1 (of 5), $2.99 - Been waiting for this Angel Medina drawn mini-series for a while now.

and Zeb Wells is writing it!!!!
I just read HellCat #1 expecting to be indifferent towards it.
But instead I loved it! So much fun! Great art!
Is it a limited series (if so, how long is it?) - I would read this as an ongoing for sure!
Also I think there is a new issue of Jack Staff this week, and that is a must read in the world of Kevin Hines.

5 issue limited series. If you weren't reading the first few issues of Marvel Comics Presents, this same team (pretty much) had a Hellcat story in it.

Is he? Don't think that I looked at the solicit all that closely. Just assumed that Robert Aguirre Sacasa was moving over from SENSATIONAL with Angel to do this mini-series. I still have high hopes for this book.

There was a lot of good stuff this week.
Amazing Spider-Man Family #1 - I was sold on this by a page in which a new-to-the-scene Spider-Man shoots a webline to a flagpole, swings over, can't stop himself, loop-d-loops the pole, then gets stuck. Very funny.
Buffy #17
NYX #1
Sword #10
Echo #5
Ultimate Origins #3
Wolverine: Killing Made Simple One Shot
Spider-Man Loves Mary-Jane #1

Spider-Man Loves Mary-Jane #1
I loved Mckeever's Mary Jane series (of series-es) but I am wary about this new one.
So let me know what you think of it Scott (or anyone who reads it).

I'll be getting it, but I'll wait for a tpb of sorts. I'm curious to see how they collect this, as the previous vol's were in digest size.
Last week:
Proof #10 (Image) - by Grecian Rossmo, Guzowski, Tindall. Missed this issue the previous week so I was happy to get caught up with this issue. This is a great book that I thought I'd never like b/c I don't buy into the Bigfoot thing. Though I like the art more in the second half of the first story as the first half felt messy. I think I like their art more when it involves people but not fantastic action shots. The backup story was very cool and I liked how the story was handled though it presented more questions from me than answers.
Army@Love: Second Season #1 (Vertigo/DC) - by Veitch, Erskine, Miller. This crazy, satire of a book is very enjoyable on so many different levels. It brings the current political/social problems of the day and puts it into a very entertaining fictional story. This one starts out great, with the writer satirizing himself.
Nyx: No Way Home #1 (Marvel) - by Liu, Andrasofszky, Rauch, Urusov. Wow. I am impressed. I kinda dismissed the first series, but this one seems to be heading in the right direction. I loved the interpretation by this team, as it's theirs and not an exact duplicate. I thought dialogue and art all melded well. This is definitely a unique 'universe' in the Marvel U. that was created by this team that is not a copycat of everything else around it. And, for a first issue, the additional material in the back was awesome! Interviews, concept drawings...As I already said, this first issue is very impressive, hopefully, it keeps up!
I dunno! We'll have to wait and see. That'd be nice though!
