I assume he's referring to jedi Luminara Unudli (probably didn't spell that right)? If so, she's not a new character. She was in Gendy Tarakovski's (again, spelling) Clone Wars series, and I think appeared in Episode II, possibly Episode I, and for sure Episode III.
