While it looks like it might be a quality action flick, It doesn't look anything like the character of the Scorpian King in the movie of the same name. Wasn't he a member of a group of bounty hunter type people who fought for money. This looks like it forgot that premise all together.

It's a prequel, which to me is not the story that is interesting to see.

But why not make a sequel telling the story how a hero went from a man that overthrow a tyrant and was a seeming hero to the people to a blood thirsty conqueror that was willing to sell his soul to the dark god Anubis just to see his enemies bow before him.

He is a major villian in Mummy Returns and then a hero in The Scorpion King and a young hero in this one.

What the hell happened to make him a villain?

At the start of The Scorpion King, Rock, his older brother, and some other dude were the last of a group of assassins.

I'm also curious as how it is that he was apparently caucasian in his youth. Couldn't they at least spray a deep tan on the kid?

The Scorpion King was designed to act out like The Mummy's answer to the Star Wars trilogy, showing the slow decline of the Scorpion King and ultimately becoming a dictator, seems they've thrown that out.

I'll pick it up...it has Randy Coture in it, and he was filming this at the time he left the UFC
