the official thread for the upcoming movie, the live action teen titans. I searched all over for a thread about this but found none. and since people are unsure if robin/nightwing should appear in batman 3, at least with this movie we are sure he'll appear.

I just can't see Jake Gyllenhaal as Nightwing if it is a TEEN titan movie i think the cast should be younger not hitting the thirtys

Maybe if it was just a Titans movie; otherwise, yeah, they're all good choices, but they're too old.

Unknowns who have decent acting abilities and can convince the audience they are heroes.

Easier on the budget and script that way.

I really like Nathan Fillion's work on Firefly and Serenity, but he is about 30 years too old to be playing a teenager. Maybe he could play Nightwing's grandfather.

I would just rather stick with unknowns to play as the Teen Titans. It doesn't cost too much to hire unknowns when compared to well known teen actors and they could be dependable should you want to sign them up for a sequal if the TT movie does well.

The thing is hiring unknowns that have some good acting skills and resemble the characters to a degree.

If these are really going to be the Teen Titans and not just Titans, then the actors shouldn't be any older than young-looking early 20s. And Starfire should be played by a porn starlet with a great body.

I never said I wanted a Teen Titans movie. I wanted a Titans movie. Nobody is gonna watch some teen heroes.

And come to think of it when I look through Marv Wolfman Titans the Titans don't like like teens there. Most of them look more like they are in their twenties.

Sky High did rather well at the box office and had some decent reviews from the critics and it was a teen oriented Superhero movie

Seconded. If you do it as adult heroes, it's "The adventures of the Justice League B-Team".
Why the hell would anyone want to see an adult Robin when you can see Batman?

If this movie ever does become reality, I'm not THAT worried. First of all, you know whoever they cast to be the titans will likely be in their 20s anyway, so no worries about having actual teens who probably can't act. Second, I read somewhere the tone was going to be serious like Begins, it won't be ridiculously campy or comical. Which of course is a plus.

If they do all this, I honestly think it won't be bad at all assuming the script is also good.
