I am finally coming back to collecting comics... Last time I collected I was still living with my parents and had basically no bills, so I spent on a wide array of comics and collected anything that caught my eye..

Now I have a mortgage and two kids, so the money has to be budgeted a little more wisely. I am going to focus on collecting Batman right now since that is my favorite and it is a character that my son likes and I can read to him.

Now looks like a good time to jump in with the RIP storyline... do you guys think I should just pick up with Batman 676 or would it benefit to go back to the beginning of the Grant Morrison run? What issue did he start with the book?

Thanks!

In order to come anywhere close to understanding this run, you really need to start at the beginning. Morrison's first issue was #655. You may find it easier to pick up the tpb which begins with this issue: "Batman & Son"
