America's Best Dance Crew

Does anyone else here happen to watch this show. I thinks the only thing to be worth while on MTV for a while. I can't dance, well because I am white, but some of the people on this show just do some crazy things.

Love this show. Dedicated watcher ever since last season. There is a big sense of competition b/w the crews, which stems from three main factors. These crews don't all come from the same area, but are from across the country. It's fun to root for a team from one's own region. Secondly, each crew brings something different in terms of either dance style or personal background. Third, these guys dance! Man, some of the performances and routines in the last two seasons of the show have been just so exciting and fun to watch. You don't see that on American Idol.

For me, being Asian (and specifically Filipino), I like the fact that the crews, especially this season, have at least one Asian member. Usually at least one all Asian or Filipino group makes it to the top three. In that regard, the show has done a great job of breaking stereotypes. ABDC shows that Asian-Americans can be cool, hip, funny, stylish, ostentatious, etc. Furthermore, I think most Asian-Americans can relate very well to the stories of Asian crew members who's parents don't truly approve of what they do.

As for the judging, I haven't had a problem with it until recently. I don't mind criticism, but I think that Lil' Mama's comments concerning the Boogie Bots could have been phrased another way.

Anyway, this show is great. Can't wait for the finale!
