I've thought about picking it up as the idea of Kal-El as Batman intrigues me. How good is it?

I found the whole thing rather dull.

Opinion is quite divided then?
It has been a while since I read it but it never struck me as anything special. It was just anothe one of those Elseworlds stories DC were so fond of once upon a time of What if Superman had crashed *Insert name of place* instead of Kansas?

It's a really good story, you should check it. DeMatteis is a great writer. I don't want to spoil it, so just go and get it!

I got the book when I was 10 or 11, and at the time, i didn't dig it much. I thought that the art was really graet, but wasn't into the story.
That said, i dug it out and re-read it about a year or 2 ago and really dug it. Nice little story. Beyond that, the Batman costume is really bad ass, and the idea of combining Luthor/The Joker was really cool.
Great book, I'd recommend it if you can find it reasonably cheap.
