Hello all, I've recently read Under the Hood and it rekindled my interest in Batman. What other story arcs are good and recommended? From which issue does Morrison's run start? Bear in mind, that I'm a total noob in DC Universe characters, being a long time Marvel fan and all...

Morrisons run starts in the Batman & Son tpb. I'd strongly recommend it.
what have you already read?

Well, all I EVER read in my life of Batman is Under the Hood and The Killing Joke. I've also read the Batman's team ups with Spidey. All other knowledge I have about Batman or DC Universe, for that matter, is from Alan Moore's Collected DC Stories or what was the name of the TPB, the cartoons and the movies.

If you're looking for trades, Batman: Year One is great. Loeb and Sale did some good stuff. Long Halloween, Dark Victory, Haunted Knight. Morison wrote Arkham Asylum which is pretty awesome. Of course Dark Knight Returns by miller is a cool "elseworld" kind of story.

Batman and The Monster Men & The Mad Monk are also good places to go from Year One. I agree Long Halloween, and Dark Victory for he complete story, are good places too, if you want a read without the burden of continuity.

Well, I'm really chasing only good stories which I should read while still reading the stuff that will help me hop on the Morisson's run wagon.

The Batman - Dracula Trilogy, which features Red Rain, Blood Storm, and Crimson Mist are all really fantastic. Really dark.

I didnt want to create a new thread for this.
Im not a Batman noob. Im just wondering which of the many current Gotham/Batman mines that dont star Bats are the best ?
I mean Huntress mini,The Jokers Asylum, Gotham Underground and co.
It seems there are so many comics like and wondered which are seen as good ones for Bat/Gotham fans.

Two-Face Year One and Huntress have been okay to me.
Assuming you've read Gotham Central of course.

Dark Knight Returns and Year One should be your next general Batman reads, absolutely. As for helping you with Morrisons run there aren't really any single trades that can help you, just start at the beginning with Batman & Son. In fact I'd probably suggest New-X-men if anything, the whole run, for a taste of how the Batman run might turn out I predict. His X-Men was also one huge 'novel' over a couple of years and totally turned everything on it's head. Quite refreshing even if you never liked X-Men, consider it.
That said Demon & Son is a cool and somewhat realistic old school tale about his adventures with Ra's and romancing with Talia. It's where the idea of a baby was first floated but it was generally ignored until Morrison bought it back. Apart from that there;s not much to link it to the current comics though. Then of course there's all the old silver age issues Morrison is referencing, but you'll probably just want to find some scans online for those

I have read those older comics when i became superhero reader thanks to The Dark Knight Returns and Year One.
Gotham Central is my favorit crime comics and i have read many.
I meant comics that are currently being realesed by DC.
I see many comics about gotham, its underworld. About Two-Face,Joker etc
Many minies. Stuff like Gotham Underground.
I like anything that has anything to do with Bat and his family.
I love Batman Detective these days. Not too much of soap opera but solid Batman Detective like stories with many interesting villains, stories.
Like 845. Which made me angry that Riddler is free and on the side of law after all his crimes. A social, thought provoking issue.
