Will Pfeifer's run on The Cat (Catwoman) finished as the series was recently cancelled. What did you guys think about Pfeifer's work on the title ?
Personally, it was okay. The only thing that I didn't like was the baby being brought into the picture. Of course it's just an opinion on my part.
So, "What's Your Verdict?"

Very poor concepts and plots, but executed with decent craftsmanschip.

You summed it up perfectly.

I thought it was better than average. It was one of my favorite books.
Btw, there's still one more issue to come out.

One of the best monthly books on the stands.

When Brubaker was writing it? Certainly. But Pfeifer? Not necessarily an awful book when I was reading it (well, except for the forced mindwipe nonsense; and the baby stuff didn't help, either), but really, really in the shadow of his predecessor.
Shame; I liked H-E-R-O and that LOTDK arc he did with Chris Weston.

I was speaking of the Pfeiffer issues here. Brubaker's earliest issues were fantastic, but I think he got bored near the end and was just cranking it out. I put Pfeiffer's work above Brubaker's later work, personally.

Just collecting all the back issues, i'm around the 40-50 now - I can't believe how good the Pete Woods art is from the issues around this time.
Loved it. Selina actually looked HAWT! Anyone know what Pete's up to now? I liked his work a helluva lot better than the Lopez duo's.

I believe he's mostly doing limited series at the moment. He did Amazons Attack a few months back. I think I saw he was doing another limited soon, but I forget what it is.
edit: he's evidently been doing Infinity Inc lately. His website can be found here > http://www.artofpete.com/

Different strokes. I like Pfieffer's work on the book (never read anything else he's done), even moreso since Lopez took over the art.
Drusilla lives!

I thought he did a fine job... AH! and L&L were great as well.

Disappointed its canned and hope to see it back soon! I enjoyed the book - not everything has to be groundbreaking literature that makes tons of money.

I'd buy anything with AH!'s name on it. Not many creators I can say that about.

Thanks. I'm now a big fan of Pete's. Hope he gets a big gig soon.

Will Pfeifer did a pretty solid job on this series. Of course, it's too bad that the series got cancelled.
However, I did like certain concepts he brought into the series:
1] The fact that there can be two Catwomen.
2] Selina Kyle showing a mother's figure after giving birth and donning the Catwoman costume again.
3] Selina confronting Zatanna regarding the mindwipe.
4] Batman bringing over a teddy bear for the baby.
Yes folks, The Batman. Haha, him alone with that teddy bear, it was worth purchasing that issue alone. I was hoping he'd bring some baby wipes, formula, baby vitamins, etc. Haha.
And others. Yes, they may not be original concepts, but nonetheless, it made the book more, or the character more interesting to the readers.
The part I didn't like is the One Year Later fast forward where Selina became a mom. Pointless. Especially now that she's going back to a life of crime, you can't explore a criminal mom with a baby.
I thought it was better than average. It was one of my favorite books.
.
Ditto. One of the few purely adult books on the market. I'm sorry to see it gone.

I liked his run too.
I think his last few issues speak for his run. I liked the Thief arc and also the latest issue #81.
This was an excellent Catwoman issue! It had all I wanted to see: Calculator, Catwoman stealing valuable stuff with a smart, surprising and funny break-in, good action (the scene on the train particularly), a cool scene with Batman (that's exactly how I like to see him..dark/powerful/cool looking and in control...except when Helena is around ;).
The art also was wonderful.
The last few issues were great and imo definitely DC's best monthly title
(loved the latest Thief arc, the cyber Lex Luthor story with the short Superman confrontation and the beginning of the OYL event. He was the only writer to actually use and capitalize the event by telling a good story that couldn't have been told without OYL).
Hopefully he'll will get a similar cool project after this. I'll look forward to it.
