Bingo!

I'll buy that for $2.99!
Stroman's work is looking a bit cleaner and alot more dynamic than last month.

I still don't really like Stroman's art. I think it's bareable to a certain extent, but that's most likely b/c none of the characters are really at that "absolute favorites" level for me, so I can let the art slide for now. Still, I'm wondering what's up w/ all the Stroman-love going on here. Is it just a "generational" thing? I mean, I only vaguely remember his earlier X-Factor stuff so maybe that's why I'm not all too wedded to his style.

Some of us old fellows started following Stroman 20 years ago back in the 1980's, when he was drawing Alien Legion, and we became fans of his way back then.

Yeah, but back when he was doing Alien Legion, his art was actually good. He also had Terry Austin inking for him. Now, at least in my eyes, it looks rushed and unfinished. Maybe it is the inker. Who knows.. All I know is that everyone has scrunchy and weird shaped heads/ faces.

To the poster above I don't think you're alone, I guess I can see some of the things people criticized Pablo Raimondi's art about maybe the realism making the art look too static or whatever (I still loved it and Raimondi's definitely one of my top 10 artists). But seriously this is quite a drastic change and not for the better (in my opinion of course), so far X-Factor has always had quite a great group of artists so far. From Ryan Sook to Renato Guedes, Khoi Pham, Scot Eaton, I really liked Valentine De Landro. But damn, Stroman's reeeally really bad, some of the faces he drew are really Liefeld-like in that it always makes it seem like the person is having a stroke.
But well hopefully his run is short because the series so far has always had the art on the same level as PAD's writing and it would suck big time that this isn't the case anymore.

I do think Mr. Stroman's depiction of action sequences is quite good.

I'm starting to feel a little better about Stroman's art. I think a big part of the problem might be with the supporting artists, because I really liked Stroman's work on the What If issue he did a while back.

Lies made Baby Jesus Cry, you know.
Okay, well it isn't that bad, but still, I don't like Stroman. X-factor had a good story with good art to go with it. With this godawful art, it's hard to focus on a story like this.

this looks slightly less rushed than last month... but I still think the art doesn't reflect the tone or direction of this X-Factor... I want noir stylings and I want them now!

I can appreciate the kinetic energy of Stroman's art. He captures action well, but I can't say I'm too wild about his work. I miss Raimondi. While I can understand that he's not everyone's cup of tea. He made our heroes look human and gorgeous. I was really looking forward to his take on my beloved Longshot.

Why!!....why did this have to happen. I loved X-Factor under Raimondi, it looked amazing! I thought it was the best art at the time, but not anymore. I cant even think about picking it up cause i would be too distracted from the rediculous art. Im sad.

Stroman's art is so unbelievably awesome, I love how all his characters looks like they have Downs Syndrome.
AGREED
Anything is better than Stroman... even Liefeld
No, Liefeld is not better than Stroman. Stroman knows his anatomy and plays with it, Liefeld just guesses whether he should attach an arm or a leg to a character's hip. Stroman knows how to set up a dynamic shot, Liefeld just flips a comic book and picks a dynamic shot to copy and claim his own. Stroman can draw hands and feet, Liefeld lets his inkers do that for him. Stroman's backgrounds are vibrant and full of detail, Liefeld can't be bothered with backgrounds, he just focuses on the character at the expense of the general composition and even utterly fails at that.
Stroman might not be your cup of tea but let's not get silly and overreact.
And look at the panels on display, do you think Raimondo would have captured the dynamics of that page better? Really? Because i liked the previous artists fine and they fitted the noir feeling but I don't think action shots were their best panels. Instead they looked like storyboard panels for a movie, which again isn't bad but the way Stroman sets up his action panel he puts depth into the scene by playing with perspective and isn't afraid to exaterate perspective to add to dynamics.
So no Stroman isn't a bad artist. Might not be your taste, but people need to stop overreacting and judge the artwork on its own merits.

Well it looks better... It still a huge shift in style from Raimondi and it will take a will to get used to this, but is not bad.
Anyone noticed the photo of the cows in the second pic? The Skrull´s cousins? LOL... I loved that dumb issue, when Reed tricked the invaders into remaining in earth... as cows

Random question time : Where are all these Skrulls coming from? does anyone remember the X-men issue where Galactus destroyed/ate there home world?
I don't recall how many died in that but i was wondering where are they living now?
anyways Stromans art does look a bit better than last issue but of course those are two pages taken out of context.
I might give this a shot just to finish the story.

Er...I don't know I guess having a character with a Wolf Head is a given when you draw Rahne, Raimondi did the best rendition in my opinion. But like I said in my first post some people like Stroman. I guess it's just one of those cases where the art isn't ugly enough that it doesn't have fans.
And I agree with the poster who misses Ryan Sook on the book, I've always loved his art and I wish he commited again to a monthly book.

That's just because Stroman doesn't have to draw Rahne in the book now, though if he did, I'm willing to bet it would look as awful as some of Land's attempts at drawing cat-Beast.

I know! Having the characters in one of my favorite books all resemble Rocky Dennis is awesome.
Seriously though, the art is looking better from last month, so I'm thinking I could come to accept Stroman, so long as he improves on the faces, and tones down the ridiculous asses.

The ridiculuous asses must stay. I like those. :)
My only issue is the faces and a little bit of the clarity (and as the biggest Chris Bachalo fan who has never had trouble following his storytelling....this is saying something).

Doesn't look too bad but She-Hulk looks awfully trannified. And she is a horrible color - virtually the same as the circles on Madrox's shirt which are TURQUOISE, not green! Bad colorist!

Ew, she has Feral-hair!
Wrong- Feral has Wolfsbane hair. Rob Liefeld gave Rahne that hair back when she was on the New Mutants. When Rahne left for Genosha to find Rictor, Rob created Feral to replace Rahne, and he gave her the same hair style.

I agree! The coloring was über weird! The sky was all pastel colored? Wtf? But I thought it was hilarious- loved Guido. "Don't worry boss, I'm sure you'll think of a witty comeback as soon as she leaves."
p.s. I do like the colors in the 4 preview pages for #34

Even the Skrull chick.
OT but i watched a bit of the Incredible Hulk cartoon last night and She-Hulk had an obviously black womans voice it was kind of freaky.
