At Comic-Con International in San Diego, cast and crew from the upcoming NBC drama “Kings” talked about the modern-day reinterpretation of “David and Goliath,” and treated fans to the first 20 minutes of the series premiere.

CBR News was on hand to get the details about the small-screen, modern-day interpretation of the David and Goliath myth.

Usually I think of a myth as being untrue, but a quick dictionary definition shows: "a traditional story accepted as history; serves to explain the world view of a people "

It will be interesting to see how this all plays out as religion and politics are usually no-no's for commercial entertainment and this story is steeped with them. I'll check this out.
