Why can't we clone Geoff Johns and put them on all the books? Geoff is an incredible writer!

Johns is my hero, he is the sole reason that i'm still into comics and looks like he's gonna keep me buying them until he's dead.

Yeah, while DC is for the most part in the creative basement (IMHO of course), Johns is a big bright spot for the company. Green Lantern, Justice Society, Action Comics, these are my top 3 DC books at the moment, all written by Johns.

That's pretty much my opinion too.
Booster Gold was pretty darn good too btw. I'm loving what Johns does (and a few other things) but not liking a lot of the name writers DC has featured prominently the past few years. I wish there were some new blood as far as writers go.

It is flabbergasting how disrespectful they all seem to be with Shooter current work, nevertheless. It is as it didn't exist at all.

How? johns is writing all the good books, morrison is on Bats, so howcan writer prove themselves to be awesome, I doubt an upcoming and coming writer would like to waste time on BOP.

I mean for books like Green Arrow, Titans, WW. Books on that level and lower. I like the Super, Bat and Green books. Its the majority of whats left after that I am not digging.

Truly not to be argumentative here - but isn't that how it works?
Didn't Johns himself start out with Stars and STRIPE?

I've actually been listening to podcasts of these panels from dccomics.com, which I'm really enjoying and I've got to say that this panel in particular has me excited for loads of stuff and Geoff has actually gone some way towards easing my worries about the return of Barry Allen.
On the other hand, if you're not a fan of Geoff Johns for whatever reason, you really don't stand much of a chance with DC in general right now. There are some other great writers working on some of their other books (though arguably there could be more) but a very large portion of the biggest stuff happening with DC right now is being handled by Geoff Johns.

Geoff Johns is probably the best writer in mainstream superhero comics right now, so the fact that he's solidly committed to the DCU for the long-term future is just awesome news.
Another thing I really like about Geoff is that even though he's worked some in TV and film, he seems primarily interested in working in comics -- superhero comics at that -- isn't embarrassed by it, and doesn't seem to be using comics as a stepping stone or a side project. It seems like he loves his job and wants to keep doing it. I think that's cool.
He seems to genuinely care about these characters and their histories -- yet his stories are still accessible and character-centric.
Also, I think he works with continiuity better than any writer out there (with the exception of maybe Busiek)... hell, he could write nearly every book DC publishes and I wouldn't care.
I agree that we should clone him -- and then send the clone back to Marvel and let him write half the books there too. :)
