Sense some studioes own some episodes and may turn them into movies. One with dicapario

The one they mention at the end of the article (Death ship the name) is pretty good

But I am going to pick a one that people may not remember

The Rip Van Winkle Gang

It about some crooks who steal some gold, and freeze themselves for a 100 years till the heat goes down. They make it through the desert and end up kill each other. Turn out gold is worthless at the time, sense they can make fake gold or something

But I always thought it be interesting if they explored the world a little bit and it turn into something bad

"To Serve Man" would make one hell of a movie. As would "Flight At 20,000 Feet".

As would "Flight At 20,000 Feet".

Isn't that the one the Twilight Zone movie is based on?

I think Snakes on A Plane is somewhat inspired by that.

They should do a Twilight Zone Anthology movie ever couple years. It'd make millions. Well, I'd watch them all.

It was a short segment in the movie, yeah, but it was remade from the old show.

They should just do a new series. I loved both the original and the 80s one, and we really need some good anthology shows on again.

i like them all as short stories, personally. why stretch out something like "to serve man" when most everyone knows the "punchline" anyways?

the 80s one was pretty cool (if a mixed bag). i loved Paladin of the Lost Hour, the Burning Man, and Dealer's Choice.

They already did Living Doll. They just called it Child's Play.

Was that the scam artist doll one? There was one with a dummy that was really good. It was pretty much Scarface from batman, and left the accomplice with the same option, asylum or jail.

How about the episode where a western actor goes back in time to meet Jesse James?

I think that the episode where the neo Nazi is getting tips from a mysterious figure. That would make an incredible movie.

Jack Nicholson gets punched out by Shakespeare!

That'd make a good movie.

i remember they had a silent episode where a man was alone in a weird area and he was running from something or someone. In the end we find out the man is a criminal imprisoned in his own mind and given nightmares or something like that.

I just wouldnt know how it would work as a movie.

Another one that could be good is the episode with the 3 astronauts that disappear and after 1 disappears the other one doesn't even remember the one that disappeared.

You know the jesse James one can be expanded cause didnt Jesse become his agent, making sure he makes the bad guys win.

Yup, and imagine how interesting they could make that.

"After Hours". The episode where the woman goes to a department store and realizes that she is really a mannequin that becomes human for about a month.

I'm not sure that any could be stretched into a 2 hour movie. The episodes were good (some great) for the 30 minutes but adding filler to expand it to 2 hours would make to story seeming drag on boring the audience. Serling (and the other writers) wrote prefect short stories telling all they needed to tell within that half hour.

When TZ went to a 1-hour format I think the most of the stories just dragged on too long. The one with Jack Klugman and Ross Martin in 'Death Ship' could have easily been shortened to 30 minutes and still keep all the drama and suspence without the drag in the middle.

Just do another movie like the first TZ movie, an anthology. And get great, legendary directors do their own segments.

No, it was the one with Telly Savalas, where the girls' doll killed her evil stepfather. They did a Simpsons Treehouse of Terror on it with Talking Krusty.

Hehe... It's not every day one gets to mention the greatest actor of all time in casual conversation.

I think they would have to do an anthology movie or maybe combine two similar storylines.

I always liked the episode where Burgess Meredith just wants to be left alone to read and then gets his wish when a nuclear war wipes everyone and everything out apart from the library. The ending is harsh
