I've just read up on Reign in Hell, the little I could find, it seems that it sort of DC's other event that is going to take place. If you are to make a Marvel comparison (I know but go with me on this) Reign in Hell could be to Final Crisis what Annihilation was to Civil War. In that Annihilation was a self-contained space epic that helped reshape Marvel's cosmic characters and setting. Reign in Hell seems like it could do the same thing for DC's magic and otherworldly characters.
Like Annihilation I don't seem RiH getting that big of a push. The concept seems very interesting. So much so I've added it to my list since the first issue comes out this month. However I don't know much about the magic aspect of the DCU. It doesn't seem to be getting a lot of attention and there seems to be no lead ins to it. Since the multiverse is still going to exist after Final Crisis, or so they say I guess what happens on Earth really shouldn't impact the fallout of this story?
However has much been said about this series leading up to it? Is it an important event for DC and the DCU or just another mini-series that is being put out? Are there suppose to be titles spinning out of this?
