View Full Version : Tron 2 Trailer
It's a nasty little phone cam bootleg, but here's the trailer to Tron 2 (http://gizmodo.com/5029479/tron-2-trailer-video-makes-pants-wet-worldwide)
Even with the crappy little imagery, it's clear that this is going to be a big slice of movie awsomeness. And let's face it, you can't really go wrong with Jeff Bridges anyway.
Enjoy.
That does look cool, but 2011? Were those two minutes all that's done?

I'm pretty sure that the reason I found that really awesome is why my girlfriend kinda hates me a little bit inside.

I'll wait for the trailer to come out officially.. The camerawork on that leak was horrible.

Hey, I said right off the bat that it was a nasty little phone cam image.
But it still looks very, very cool.
I read the thread title and all i could think was
"F#@! you rick, they aren't making a Tron 2."
But i was wrong.

That was similar to my reaction. I figured at most it'd be a some trailer to a new videogame, confused for an actual movie.
Can anyone tell who Jeff Bridges is fighting in that clip?

Wow! Looking forward to it!
I actually loved the original film back when it came out about a million years ago and have thought for years that it was ripe for a remake using modern technology.
But I never thought for a minute that they would make an actual honest to God sequel.
I am truly looking forward to seeing this movie.

Tron bored the hell out of me when I saw it for the first time 2 months ago. But this looks awfully purdy, I might see it.

Funny thing is, I used to think the same way you did, except the film was duller than dishwater. And the truth is, it hasn't aged well, and the filmmakers really were so far ahead of their time, they barely knew what they were doing. That said, I saw it again recently, and it actually did hold up better than I remembered it. Not perfect, but actually watchable.
That said, I still insist the movie was so far ahead of it's time, it was even beyond the filmmakers. Although it's funny, it might even be a bit behind the times now. That said, the closest any movie has come to getting the concept and not sucking was the Matrix.

The film did not age well, but trust me in 1980, it was awsome.

yeah, the fluidity of the bikes was a little weird to me (I like in the 'game' how they are so with the sharp angles) but that was a really cool trailer and I really liked the first one! :D

What a surprise!
I liked the Tron movie when I was a kid. I still like it. Not great, but good.

The video quality isn't great, but it has amped up special effects. Jeff Bridges and Bruce Boxleitner both reprise their roles.

I watched the original several times, and I'll certainly keep my eye out for this one.
