Fantastic. I hope it lives up to the mini-series.

Damnit! Just as I had gotten my Marvel pull list down to just Captain America.
The AoA mini was simply fantastic, and I will be ready for round 2.

Disappointing, but I do love him on Captain Britain.

I was wary about this when I read the thread title, until I saw the writer of the mini is also writing the on-going series.
So, definitely cool news!

"What makes them different from other teams is that these guys are doing evil for the sake of good," Paniccia said. "They are literally running a criminal organization with the end game of saving humanity."
So it's sort of like Angel S5, except presumably nobody's going to get their soul erased and body possessed by an Old One?

I guess that hardcover must have done GREAT business. The later issues of the miniseries had abysmal sales.

If you like Agents of Atlas you should also be checking out Parker's Marvel Adventures: The Avengers and Captain Britain.

I've occasionally gotten an issue of MA: Avengers. The one with Ego the Living Planet was a delight.

Did you read the MODOK one? It's just as good. I also really loved the recent issue with Hate Monger.
I'm personally of the opinion that everyone should read everything that Jeff Parker writes, because he writes fun comics that are really good. X-Men First Class is currently my favorite on-going title. Also, Jeff Parker is just really awesome, like when he says stuff like this (from CBR's coverage of the Mondo Marvel panel (http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=17381)):
How did Jeff Parker come up with the all ages Avengers stuff? Parker: "First, they gave me a suggested lineup. It was about five or six characters and somewhere in there they had Giant-Man, who I never particularly cared for. Immediately, I started campaigning for more women on the team. It's supposed to be a gateway book and we wanted girls reading too. I asked, if I can't squeeze any more girls on the team, can I use Giant-Girl? And they were fine with that. Then of course they forced Wolverine on me because that's the law. But it works very well."

The last one is pretty good. They challenge Galactus to a game of chess....until The Hulk gets bored and smashes the board. Then they challenge him to a game of baseball.

"So we are going to show the world that they have to get through two Para and three Commando Royal Marines and one Royal Anglian and even an Avenger to do it. We are going to show commitment. We are going to make them pay for this bridge. We are going to see if the fuckers can swim."
Fuck yeah.
And also that opening to issue #2 with the effect of Cap's temp death.
