My fambly and I were invited to a Gametap party to launch America McGee's new game, GRIMM.
I'm not the biggest fan of parties, but this was lovely. They took over the fourth floor room of the Hotel Solamor, which is quite beautiful. There was a dj, incredible grilled food and beautiful desserts, a pool filled with black Gametap beach balls, and lots and lots of creative, smart people, as well as stations where you could try the new game. They raffled off art from Wildstorm artists, and my son one a gorgeous Chun Li piece by Joel Gomez...Chun Li is his favorite Street Fighter character, so that was really fun.
A great time...and some fun things might have come from it.
SDCC is weird for me...so many opportunities come up and I can't possibly take them all, so it's always a weird thing, you never know if the one you choose is the RIGHT one. I've turned down so many things that might have been fun, and sometimes I've accepted an assignment that might have been better done by someone else.
It's weird.
They DID offer to get us all into the City of Heroes party, though--but I'm not sure it works out timewise, dangit!
