In October solicits it mentions Wolverine wanting to save Daken's soul. So why does Wolverine care about Daken but does not mind using X-23 as his killer clone? Does she not have a soul that needs saving?

Do you read comics? The answers are in the pages. It's really right there in the pages of X-Force. Right there. First issue.

I don't know why Logan cares either. Daken's a grown man and has already made his choices. Logan should just say screw it, treat him like the thousands of other violent bastards he fights, and just gut him with the Muramasa sword.

I think it's mostly because Logan wasn't around as a father to raise him right so he wants to set him on a straight path. Another reason is that since Daken is likely working for the same shadow conspiracy agency that gave Wolverine his missions over the years, Logan wants to end their hold over him.

It's going to be really hard given how much of a bastard Daken has been and how deep he's already in the game. Daken is giving Logan undue blame because Logan didn't know he was even alive after Itsu was killed but Wolverine being the honorable guy he is still tries to do the right thing by his son.

Yeah, even I caught on to that. And even if he isn't, he still seduced a guy in order to quietly kill him and steal his passport. . I haven't seen any other male antagonists do that before(in a X-Men title).

His introductory scene would've been a lot better without the cheesy "I'm the inheritor of the earth," speech.

If you guys had been following this character you would already know there are hints that he is bi-sexual.Odds are he's not and you are all jumping to conclusions. Daken had a legit reasn for what he did. He seduced a target to get him alone and kill him. He never engaged in any sex with the guy. Can't really see them making Wolverine's kid gay. Of course if they made him dead I'd be ecstatic.

I'd just like to point out again that Wolverine is bisexual. If anything Daken dropping the hetero act would make them closer.

Well, Daken is his son.

and he does care about Laura. This has been shown many times. He didn't want her in X-Force at all.
