For being the week of San Diego, it's not really a very big week for me.
At the same time, it's a sad week as this is my last at my current LCS until after the big move and then the seach (maybe?) begins for a new one. :frown:

Haven't posted one of these in a while. I'm bored at work though, so I'll post the list:
Marvel
Avengers Initiative #15: Read this last night. Still the best Avengers book on the stands.
Marvel Comics Presents #11: I said I'd give it through the end of this year. Forgot to check, is this solicited past #12?
New Avengers #43: Read this one as well. Boring. I remember being excited for Secret Invasion, now, not so much.
DC/Vertigo
Green Lantern Corp #26: I half enjoy this one, but it's one I'm not sure I really need to buy. Decent issue though.
Legion of Superheroes #44: This one is on life support for me though. not really enjoying Shooter's run as much as I hoped. It doesn't have the excitement as when Waid was writing it.
Trinity #8: I don't know about other people but I'm still pretty much enjoying this. A very different feel from 52, but very fun.
DMZ #33: Good storyline so far, can't wait to see how it ends next issue.
Avatar
Black Summer #7: Still pretty interesting, looking forward to seeing how it wraps up.
Virgin
Dan Dare #7: Another mini series coming to an end. Hope it holds up to the rest of the series
Aardvark
Glamourpuss #2: This will probably be the last thing on the pile to read this week. I know I'll need to devote serious time to it.
Dark Horse
Star Wars Legacy #26: Still enjoying it.
Image
War Heroes #1: How is Tony Harris drawing three books at the same time? Oh that's right he's really not. When was the last time we saw his Spider-man mini? Anyway, I'll check out the first issue, but may switch to the trade.
SCUD, The Whole Shebang: Can't wait to dive into this. There are issues here, I've never read before, so it'll be nice to read the whole story from start to finish.
Oni Press
Wasteland #19: I'm a trend setter, I've been paying 3.50 for comics for a while. No, it's not something to be proud of. Still, this book is worth it.

Joe Q said it'd be coming back in liek 5-6 months as a slightly different animal.
I forgot, I'm getting it too.

Well, they better hurry. The tpb is gonna be solicited for in a week.
Toto!: The Wonderful Adventure, vol.1 (Del Rey Manga) - by Yuko Osada. Good b&w story with many Oz references (people think I'm overreacting when I say that this idea is waay overused in comics now). But this book is more for the younger crowd which has lots of yelling by the characters, in typical manga fashion, and lots of hectic action with not much depth behind anything.
Green Arrow and Black Canary: Road to the Altar (DC) - by Bedard, Torres, Siquiera, Ferguson, Derenick, Scott, Norrie, Prado, Santos, Story, Ramos, Hazlewood, Norton, I.L.L., Tanya & Richard Horie, Hi-Fi Designs, Baron, Roux, Winick, McDaniel, Owens. Collection from: Green Arrow #75, Birds of Prey #109, Black Canary #1-4, Black Canary Wedding Special #1. This is my first superhero 'trade' in a long time. And I have to admit, it was good. The cover is unfortunate, for it's an oddly sexual pose which has no bearing on the comics inside. I like the way this was laid out. Each issue was given it's cover, then a brief description of which comic was to follow. Before, if I had any reservations about artist Nicola Scott, this trade has alleviated those doubts. :)
Lucha Libre #5: Diablo Loco is Missing! (Image) - by Frissen, Gobi, Bill, Fabien, Witko, Vargas, Ohm, Tanquerelle, Reutiman, Dorey, Firoud, Bob. Price of 6.99 (US). This is a very good comic, but it's also so odd...The large size, the way each story either contributes to the main story or goes off on it's own..I found the sexism weird and out-of-place, was this a real book in Mexico? It's also expensive, but well packed and worth the price, so it's hard to pass up.
The CBLDF Presents: Liberty Comics (Image) - contributions by Ennis, Robertson, Avina, Bowland, Cooke, Stewart, Millar, Leon, Cox, Workman, Adams, Rochelle, Starkings, Veitch, Moritat, Roshell, Bone, Brubaker, Phillips, Staples, Dunbier, McManus, Campbell, Milla, Mignola, Evanier, Aragones, Luth, Sakai. 3.99 (US), all proceeds to the CBLDF. I fully support the CBLDF and their ways, so it was easy to pick this up once I realized all proceeds were to be given to it on top of the fact that it's a cheap way to support the Fund as well as finding out that the stories inside by each creator is actually good and not 'throwaway' stories & art. I think I liked Bones' the best! :D
Negative Burn, vol.2, #21 (Desperado Publishing) - Individual stories by LeBlanc, Taylor, Reed, Lyle, Monroe, Lefrance, Roberts, Monroe, Anda, Pruitt, Podesta, Gibb, Milito, Rivera. This raw, b&w book is something that I always check out, but not always pick up. This time around, the stories, particularly the main one, looked great. And they were. I like the raw feeling of this anthology series, and though I am very tired of the zombie stories, I think the two in here were handled very nicely.
Justice League of America #23 (DC) - by McDuffie, Benes, Pantazis, Sinclair. I thought this was just fun, fun, fun. Love the action and the way each character is handled throughout. Looking forward to more JLA from this team!
Tales of the TMNT, vol.2, #48 (Mirage Publishing) - by Black, Lawson, Talbot, Dooney, Lavigne, Jones, James, Tokko (backpage pinup). An okay story, art was spot on, but the ending was a kinda letdown. The backup story was short, not as good, but had the great impact of an ending that the main story should've had.
Gold Digger: Tifanny & Charlotte #2 (Antarctic Press) - by Perry, Anderson, Bevard. Love this book. I just wish the story was not as choppy or chopped up as it reads all the time. I understand this is fun and to be read that way, but I'd really like to see if they could stretch themselves a bit and try for a 'real' comic book that does not end every second page for the 'punchline' at the bottom of the page.
Angel: Revelations #3 (Marvel Knights) - By ???. Apparently, there's not a huge audience for this book, for only whoever got the first one, will get the rest, that's why they can't tell you who made it (/end sarcasm). This was the first time I picked up this wonderful looking book and I am entranced by the lovely art and flowing story within. I was also much enthused that this happens to be from the Marvel Knights line, which I thought was dead, and found to be one of Marvel's better ideas for a line than anything since, (max, ultimate, etc.). I wish whoever made this book got actual credit though. I will now scout the net to find out who made this.
