So I was putting around websites and viewing synopsis on other comic books when I came across one based on a old childhood favorite, G.I. Joe. Well for me, when I think G.I. Joe I immediately think of the two camps, Cobra and G.I Joe. I decided to check the Cobra camp first and wouldn't you know like any childhood joe fan, the first three people who came to mind as people of interest were Cobra Commander, The Baroness and of course Destro. Then I got to thinking, haven't I seen these archetypal characters before in other comics? (Of course this is true about all comics but this is the X-board so my first thoughts were the similarities with the X-Men and villains.)

My personal favorite the Baroness immediately struck me as a combination of 2 people. old school Emma Frost and Mystique are hands down the embodiment of the first lady of Cobra. http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/0/4/77617-119838-baroness_super.jpg

Then there's Lady Jaye, even as a kid I could careless about Lady Jaye even though she was hooked up with my favorite Joe, Flint. Still that got me thinking, who does that remind me of in X-Men, so I took a quick glance over her skill set. Intelligence Gathering, Disguise and Espionage, multilingual deadly combatant. Well of course it's obvious now, http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/0/229/89698-131632-lady-jaye_super.jpg
Shes Sage!! Heck as a kid I thought she was dyke.

Anyone else got any other observations like this about other comic book characters who strike you as nearly the same person from a X-book?

Destro and Dr. Doom are both "Noble villains".
