View Full Version : Why haven't the cuckoos realised their potentials?

...I'm not talking about the pheonix shit... I'm talking about the fact that they're Emma's clones.

Why didn't they inherit thier mother's ultimate power, you know, the power to elimate all the female threats? Shouldn't they use their mother's wit/sex appeal to bitch smack all those wannabe? So why are those sorry clowns like X-23, Armor and Pixie still here?

..yeah, yeah Pixie, you got a piece fo your soul stolen, but the Cuckoos have tiny fragments of the Pheonix force trapped in their hearts!

So what's holding them back? Discuss!

who says they're not working on it... they were up to some shady crap during C&C's New X-Men, and we don't know what their motives are yet.

Just because we didn't know all the losers on that bus, doesn't mean there weren't rival chicks that the cuckoos finessed to an early grave.

The Cuckoos have learned the error of their mother's ways and transcended the need to eliminate other women.

Do not bring the They're-emotionless-crap!

What error? Do you think she'd be where she is by playing nice?!?!?!

Agree with you. And not because of that lame emotionless thing. They're still kids right? I don't think exploring their full potential is their main concern at the moment. It should be boys, fashion, party and such..

They could be turn into ruthless bitches if they wanted to. It's just not their interest.. yet. At least for now.

But the thing is.. Writers might find them a bit difficut to write due to their power level. And the book for the X-teen was just being launch for 4 months. I'm sure they will be around someday.

^They're all greedy for power maybe with the exception of Sophie. One of them even tried to hump an old man. They all represent an aspect of Emma's personalities but all of them lack Emma's anit-female trait.

Are you talking about Esme trying to hump Magneto?

I like the cuckoos to be creepy and just be in the background for when Emma needs them for something.

We really only need one actual Emma.

I think they should all go evil.

DeniseXfrost

Emma has outgrown that concept...whereas the Cuckoos are young and naive. Selene should definitely manipulate them.

I don't know... all the writers and editors are talking about how this is going to be a major year for Emma. What else could she do, she already runs the teams?

DeniseXfrost
07-22-2008, 04:57 AM
She's joining the evil illuminaughty with Dr.Doom. Plus, Firestar, the hellfire cult and maybe Maddie are back. That's major threat for her.

The last time we saw the Cuckoos they were telling Prodigy that "we've tried boys and that didn't work" so they may have other designs on females instead of elimination now.

Well, the clone retcon needs undoing somehow imo... besides, Emma should know it was a lie from examining their roots.

Wasn't referring to that. They just don't seem to care about becoming uber-telepaths.

Esme might have been infactuated with older men but she does get points for killing off that twat Sophie. The Cuckoos need to stay creepy, I didn't like Austen's Mindee.

Lets see 2 are dead, when they were originally presented as a unimind, and uh yeah, they are emotionless clones thanks to a marginal at best storyline.

Because they are only 1 or 2 years old. Duh!

On top of that they don't have personalities anymore, so they don't care.

What timbox wrote.

She may be their mentor (and DNA donor, maybe) but Emma is still Queen. I like the Cuckoos when they're ambiguous.

It's because they've become a combo of Rachel Grey and Madelyne Pryor for Emma - and we all know how things have gone for those ladies.

God, I hope so. Being Scott's soggy sycophant is more than utterly boring.

I mean, wasn't Scott just an end to justify a means (i.e. competition with Jean)?

I miss my tarty Frost muffin. :( so spayed right now, it's beyond heartbreaking.

Yes, but the new kinder, gentler Emma has been smitten.

Ah, yes, if alive means being turned into a dinosaur, tripping downstairs to show your ineptitude, being penetrated by a bird man, sent into space limbo and then tortured by your 12-year old uncle.

And seriously now, jarrod, Maddy is dead until proven alive, don't go slinging possible spoilers you shouldn't have around in clear view, it's not becoming.

Ray's not being tortured by Vulcan, she was the lone X-Man who escaped. Also, she dumped Korvus and admitted it was creepy. In fact, Ray was pretty great in her last on panel appearance. <3 <3

And don't hold Claremontian plots against her... it could've been far worse, do I need to bring up NEX or neXiles for some comparison?

Lucky guess. I'm convinced it's her in that Uncanny cover.

Isn't Vulcan actually 15 years old? Makes it a bit more palatable.

Oops, I guess my full recollection of the latest mini slipped my mind as Ray Ray slipped back into limbo. Though, her dumping Korvus doesn't really make up for her riding his drumstick.

And how could I not hold those wretched stories against her? Although his recent Uncanny looks like his classic Uncanny compared to NEX and NExiles, R'chel not knowing how to walk is certainly contemporary character assassination similar to Stroke Girl, Al Blair and Romage.

Even a gifted storyteller like Yost can't TOTALLY make up for the Rise and Fall of Ed Brubaker in just 4 months.

*weeps*

We should join hands and show some solidarity, we fans of abused Claremont ladies. We're all in this together. :frown:
