I am just glad this is being put out under the she hulk then Mike Millar using these women as his supposed charity superhero team in the pages of the awful fantastic four. Thank you Thank you.

Whos the chick with the chains and who painted on Valkyrie's underwear?

I don't know if I called the artwork cheesy, they don't look all that appealing in that shot.

That's Thundra. She comes from an alter-Earth where women are physically equal to men. The men and women of that Earth are engaged in war to dominate their world. I don't remember it if the women won or not. Imagine misogny and misandry taken to an absurd level and you have Thundra's Earth.

Who are these Lady Liberators as I cannot say I have heard of them, are they a new team?

The Lady Liberators is a really old team back from the 70's(?) which was formed by the Enchantress in one of her evil schemes.

Their members now, apparently, are She-Hulk, Thundra, Invisible Woman, and Valkyrie.

Thanks for that. So it's an old name that's been dusted off & given a new line-up.

Itīs sad that the Enchantress isn't in this new team, she could have been a great addition ,after everything, she created this team.

So, wonder if Valkyrie will still be looking for Aragorn.

I wonder what the story rationale will be for Thundra and Val to be involved. It's kind of random for them to just show up to help She-Hulk fight the Red Hulk.

you ain't kidding. i wish they'd put out just 1 more issue of Irredeemable Ant-man, so Hester could do a spoof cover. maybe Eric could perch on Valkyrie's unusually platformesque rear.

As far as why Jen would assemble an all-woman team? Who knows. I'm just kinda hoping Thundra & Hulk's daughter will show up at some point.

I can't wait to see how creative Cho gets with the team work aspect when we get to the action. I saw one preview where it looks awesome! I just dont want that to be the only thing they try as a team against him.

I was hoping that we could see Valkyrie's opinion on the current Hulk situtation and maybe question She-Hulk for her reasons of restarting the group ? :frown:

Besides there's no Jaz in that picture too. :frown:

I think Sue Storm was starting some kind of group to help those who have been hury buy super hero activity. this may have spun out of that.

She created it disguised as valkyrie and because of some evil. This team is formed to do good.

Well Thundra is Hulk's other baby mama. She gave birth to his daughter in the raging thunder one-shot.

I haven't read Thor after the trade (Loved it) waiting for the next trade but I would bet that Valkyrie is either Enchantress in disguise or a Skrull..

Well, there are 2 Vaklyries going around. The original one (that I'm assuming was resurrected witht the rest of the Asgardians), and the new one from Busieks Defenders that's a part of the Initiaitve.

I'll assume this one is the later... but we'll see. Loeb may not even explaining it one way or the other.

Course, if it does end up being Enchantress it would be a nice nod to the original Lady Liberators.

I don't understand the connection between not having read Thor and assuming Valkyrie is a Skrull or Enchantress. There has been a Valkyrie, Samantha Parrington, on Earth since before Brunnhilde died. Samantha, much like Billy Batson transforming into Captain Marvel, took the form of Brunnhilde to become Valkyrie in one of the more recent Defenders series. If the Lady Liberator version is claiming to be the Asgardian Brunnhilde, then she is an imposter, if she is Samantha Parrington, sure, she COULD have been replaced, but she has been around and active since before the Skrull invasion has been shown to have started.

You beat me to it! Also, Susan used to be Brunnhilde's duplicate on Earth, controlled by Enchantress, Pluto, and maybe Loki, and existed before the more recent addition of her being a Valkyrie separate from Brunnhilde. Plus, she has a connection to the Hulk, so her inclusion makes sense.

The recent Thundra oneshot thinly veiled as a Hulk oneshot.

Doubt that it's Echantress and i doubt that it's a skrull since Hulk doesn't tie-n to SI .

If the Lady Liberator version is claiming to be the Asgardian Brunnhilde, then she is an imposter

Actually, It could be her since Thor revived everyone remember?

Well except Odin.

I agree but If it ended up being like that, would be absurd.

Why would have to repeat again the same history of the Enchantress and the Valkyrie?

For me, it would be much better to see the Enchantress being herself and not using a spell that already she used before and that didn't work well. And the Valkyrie also being herself.

As a big fan of Marvel's 70s comics, I'm really looking forward to the return of Thundra and Valkyrie. I hope they become mainstays in the Marvel Universe.

Thundra was shuffled offstage way back in 1980, and has only made a handful of appearances since.

Valkyrie has pretty much been MIA since the mid-80s.

Well, it looks like Aragorn made a miraculous recovery from the events of Punisher War Journal; the previews for the new She-Hulk issue show Valkyrie coming in for a landing on a winged horse.

I agree with that. Thundra was also an old flame of Ben Grimm's I thought. She also is maybe the closest conceptually that Marvel has to Wonder Woman and Thundra in some ways has more of an excuse for being very distrustful of men.

so this is pretty much confirmation that the Wasp is dead.

Only appearance of her in any previews has been the Blue Marvel.. but that looks like MA pre Invasion. She was in the FF.. but that kinda has to be pre-Invasion also.

Poor Jan. I wonder if Skrull Pym will beat her to death?

I'm looking forward to the LL stuff. Given the Cho Hulk stuff this takes place AFTER probably won't be actually done until near spring next year, so this may spoil that story (story, everyone's just gonna get it for all the 3/4 nekkid Cho damsels).

If she's still as annoying as she has been, I doubt it's much of a loss for him.

What has the character done that's annoying to you?

I find her a nice breath of fresh air. She challenges She-Hulk to think outside of her normal patterns, she's been fairly humourous (and caused at least a few laugh out loud moments for me), she doesn't whine, she does her job well and spits out bullets when she's shot! I'm quite enjoying the character.

I'm interested in hearing why others feel that she's annoying. I don't think the book would be the same without her (and that would be bad, just to clear that up!) at the moment.

I can't think of any reason why Jazinda would be considered annoying, especially after Secret Invasion. The only annoying thing about her to me is her short hair. Girl needs a makeover.

What's wrong with short hair? Short hair is sexy.

The two things I did not get about the Lady Liberators. As it was asked in the She-Hulk why the "Lady"?

And at the start when Jen was calling up people to put a beating on the Rulk, why were there only women on the list? Wouldn't Sentry make more sense than Tigra?
I'd have been better if that started out as a group of buddies that get together every now and then to exchange tips on the problems of being a superheroine, dirt on others in the business, and rib Jen about the Juggernaut. Then the all-girl concept would make sense.

The title of "Lady Liberators" is a nod to the old 70's group which was formed by Enchantress in one of her evil schemes.
