Oh, yeah, I know him. I see him in the mirror every day. They actually had two pictures of me smiling, one showing teeth and one not, but went with the surly one instead. It fits the story better.
I've had a few people write, text, or call me to say, "Hey, you're in The Onion." Likely won't be the last time, so that's cool too.
I'm having salmon for dinner tonight in honor of the article. Ok, really, I'm just having salmon because I want salmon, but it still amuses me anyway.

Seriously, I saw that an hour ago and did a doubletake. I figured it must be your twin.
Pretty awesome.

You must change your custom user title to "area man."

Hehe.
I was just about to start a thread on this. A coworker has the print copy sitting on his desk and as I was paging through it, I uttered a Spicoli-esque "Whoa, I know that dude!"
How did this happen?

Awesome, Justin. But I'm surprised my bf and I didn't notice your picture. We grabbed an Onion on Saturday and read it (well, he did. I glanced at it from time to time) yesterday. Is it in the issue that came out last week?

I know a girl who takes pictures for The Onion. She was down from New York during STAPLE (http://www.staple-austin.org/) and took a few pictures of me because she said they needed more people to attach to articles, opinion pieces, and whatever else. I didn't even know I was in it until someone else pointed it out. I've had a couple people at work say something so far. It's pretty damn neat.

Yep. The one with the Hubble kaleidoscope front page article. My picture is on page 3. The print edition appeared before the online one did.

Believe it or not, but when I saw that online yesterday the first thing that went through my head was 'damn, that guy looks exactly like Justin Davis'.
I was tempted to mention it in Rita's, but due to the surly look and the 'dying inside' part of the story, wasn't sure if it'd go down well.
But being in the onion, that's awesome.
Have you gotten a print copy yet to cherish forever?
