Hero or villain who has caused the most property damage & deaths on the main Earth in the MU whether they meant too or not.

Is it the Hulk?

Mind you not sure if he has caused a vast number of deaths or not.

The Thunderbolts.

Do you mean when they wiped that town off the map?

I would have thought the Hulk has done far more damage on Earth in his time, look at World War Hulk for a start?

Yeah, but, I like the Hulk and he usually destroyed stuff b/c people were chasing him or doing him wrong.

Fight Man, hands down.

I second this.

Fight Man, hands down.

Some reference material on this? I know very little of this character. Is there an Avengers time frame that stands out in this regard w/ his actions?

Are we only talking about permanent damage? Because Thanos did kill half of the universe in one shot, although it was later undone of course, but between that and wiping out almost all of the Earth heroes in a pitched battle that was a pretty large death toll.

Oh yeah, and over the years Herc has done a decent amount of damage to various kingdoms, cities and bars. Toss in all of the death/destruction he has caused while in a pitched battle, drunk or under Hera's spell (many of these inadvertent) and he is probably up there too. Herc also has the luxury of a long lifespan and history to pull from. Ares would also probably fall into this category along with a few other war gods.

Thanos. He killed half the universe that one time.

Galactus regularly eats inhabited planets for snacks and does not care.

Punisher has to be up there somewhere. I'd love to know what his body count is up to.

Are we talking alternate realities as well? What about Apocalypse?

Annihilus and his Wave

Just to confirm, the OP just wanted to identify the most destructive character in relation to the main Earth in the MU, right? I mentioned Thanos because while wiping out half of the universe that meant half of the Earth too and almost all of the heroes. Others have mentioned cosmic beings who haven't reigned destruction down on the Earth so much as the universe as a whole. Happy to make either argument though. My vote is Thanos for the universe and Herc or Ares if we are sticking to just the Earth given their eons of battles.

Yep permanent destructive damage on Earth. Good example about Herc & Ares.

On a galactic scale- Thanos and on a lesser scale Dark Phoenix.

On Earth, yeah, Punisher has got to be pretty high up there. How many marvel characters have used a nuke to vaporize an island?

Graviton held the entire globe's superhero community hostage at one point, and very nearly terraformed the place to his liking.

Humus-Sapien did a lot of damage, as I recall.

The Beyonder tore up the entire Rocky Mountain range (though it was later repaired by the Molecule Man and Silver Surfer, and Owen managed to save all the people who would have been killed by it at the time).

Terminus probably did quite a bit of damage when he wrote "I Claim This World - Terminus" in 1/2 mile wide letters across the face of the US. He also destroyed the Savage Land (though Garokk later repaired it).

On earth? The Juggernaut.

I mean he is the Avatar of Destruction.

Didn't one of the versions of Ultron wipe out an entire country at one time?

Trey

Its Magneto. He has destroyed more things and items than anyone.

If he wanted to Silver Surfer could open a black hole and destroy the earth.

Namor has to be up there too as the original comic book anti-hero. He tends to attack the surface world with his armies from Atlantis when he feels threatened or wronged and has also worked with unsavory characters like Magneto and Dr. Doom from time to time. Add in the times Namor has gone on rampages with or against members of the Defenders and he has left quite a trail of destruction in his wake.

Ultron. He took out a whole country.

But Phoenix did take out a galaxy

and Thanos took out all of existence in his solo

so Thanos for the win

To me Thanos, Phoenix, and the Beyonder have done the most damage.

No, she just took out one solar system. Annihilus, Thanos, and Galactus did alot worse.

Thanos.

In smaller scale - How bout Dr. Strange, Mr. Fantastic and Iron Man? One can vaporize city through spells or using antimatter rays or just plain old nukes.

I wonder which hero has done the most un-intentional damage if you take the Hulk out of the equation?

Bingo!

He will destroy the universe again.

Are we just talking property damage and stuff, or taking actual body counts? Cause if body count is a factor, Cassandra Nova nuking Genosha is really up there.

I suppose Dark Phoenix ought to be in this discussion, too.
