View Full Version : Someone just died in my yard.

Wow. I was woken up at 1:35 am by a bang sound. Still groggy I lie there and then I started to hear sirens. I look out the window and and see three cop cars along the road. Thinking it was just someone being pulled over I roll over and try to go back to sleep. Then I hear a suscession of 3 load banging sounds. I cautiously look out the window to see the cop car closest to my house on FIRE!!!
I quickly get dressed and head downstairs and wake up my mother who then joins me as we go outside to see the cop car, Which was actually in our front yard, compleatly engulfed in flames and the firemen starting to spray it out. We head accross the road to where people are standing and ask what was going on. It was then we find out there is a car in our end field. It is on it's back and compleatly twisted around. The person in the car was thought to have pulled out in front of the cop/sheriffs car when he was on his way to a accident site with his lights on. The person in the car was ejected out of the car upon inpact and the cop car proceded to slide along out yard for a good 100 - 150 feet before stopping and eventually bursting into flames. The cop was able to get out of the car to safty but the driver of the red car, currently twisted in our end field, is dead after being thrown from his car by the impact.
Needless to say I cannot really sleep right now. The cops are still in the field looking over the reckage and piecing the accident together. with at least 2 fire trucks and a dozen memebers of the sheriffs department there.
I just feel bad that someone died and I am hoping to God it was noone I know.

I've been blessed with living in the crappiest part of Indianapolis, and while I have experienced a mass murder down the street, I'm lucky that nobody died on my yard.

Yeah we are not moving. We have lived here forever. But it is very odd looking over the field where the guy was lying.

I get it worse - I hate the sound of my voice when I hear myself talking.
Listening to it getting played back is beyond horrific, and gets me close to suicidal.
And yet I have to do it regularly for guide tracks at work.

Good to hear it's not someone you know, it'd be bad enough to lose them, but to have to see the spot everyday you look at your window...
Where are you in the video?
Whomever it is that makes those videos really should spend some extra cash to teach the reporters how to do a quick, proper edit and voice over.
Really wouldn't cost that much, and the results would be worth it.
Also, Sheboygan is fun word to both say and hear.

That's horrible.
I feel for the person who died and their family, but also for you and your family who have to deal with that now. That's really disturbing.
