Dirty Deeds!

"Dirty Deeds" is a new series of threads where a discussion can be held about the morally questionable, or outright evil acts of characters in comics. It might be a discussion about times a hero crossed a moral line they shouldn't have, or a discussion of a villain's most horrific acts in their history, but the premise remains the same.

Where possible, a poll will be included to vote upon said character's "dirtiest deed".

So what is Feral's Dirtiest Deed?

- Watching at the age of six and letting her baby sister Carolina fall down the stairs, and later doing nothing while her brother Mateo fell off a roof? (revealed in X-Force (vol. 1) #41)

- After having killed Harry Bellinger before his attempted rape of her sister, Thornn, hiding the body in the walls of her apartment building, rather than report it? (revealed in X-Force (vol. 1) #41)

- Killing her own mother in retaliation for killing all her pet pigeons? (revealed in X-Force (vol. 1) #41)

- Running away from the Morlocks, but leaving her sister Thornn behind with Masque? (New Mutants (vol. 1) #99-100)

- Nearly disemboweling Cannonball when his guard was down in a training exercise? (X-Force (vol. 1) #2)

- Practically throwing herself at Shatterstar repeatedly, and calling him "Shattybuns"? (X-Force (vol. 1) #5)

- Mocking Cable at his hosptial bedside after he was on life-support from a battle with Magneto? (X-Force (vol. 1) #26)

- Betraying X-Force by trying to kill Henry Peter Gyrich, who X-Force had arrived to save, and then joining Reinfire and the Mutant Liberation Front? (X-Force (vol. 1) #28)

Sadly, I can't find it morally wrong to be orange, and wear purple and have bad hair. Or a prehensile tail that's ridiculously long and thin (and therefore, not very prehensile) or being anatomically rendered impossibly on a regular basis. But hey, there's still plenty of other things here that this former member of X-Force managed to do that are morally questionable, at least. Pick your favorite dirty deed for Feral!

In weighing Feral's all time usefulness to the X-teams? She lost a lot of fights, and most of the ones she one, save like two, were against other people on those teams. And she was a complete hoo-hoo, in terms of personality, too. She's my #2 least favorite character ever.

I was a huge fan of Feral back in the day. No mistake she had her flaws, but she could have been one of the greats. Nothing she did matched the evil of early Marrow. Other slightly flawed "monsters" got chance after chance and all she got was abuse. I clearly wasn't the only one that saw this, as she eventually was pulled into X-Corporation Bombay. But then she had to die in a stupid Wolverine story. And you know that Sabretooth won't even stay dead. Feck.

As to the character, she's pretty well screwed in the ear as far as her history and characterization goes. I love catgirls, and I'd like to like the character, but it's pretty well impossible. She'd need a pretty well thorough reimagining, maybe even a legacy or clone somehow since at least one of the twins is dead.

But feral twin catgirls with a bad streak? Oh come on, that's just begging to be revived in a way that takes a clean break from the suck of the past. They could be Marvel's own Puma Sisters. Sexy, bad, and fun.

Maybe there were littermates we don't know about yet...

Hepzibah purrrrrrring on up to him and scoring probably was a low blow in Maria's eyes. Not only that, but Feral was friends with Caliban (fellow Morlocks, duh) and Warpath let him die on his watch. I doubt Feral would be happy about that. Plus, one time Warpath THREW Feral across the room (after she sliced up Terry). She is probably wanting some revenger on James. X-Force better watch out, Daken, Feral and Ferlets and maybe even Auntie Thornn are going to prove to be their downfall.

I am glad the Feral movement is occurring. Once you understand that the character never asked to be a fan-favorite or a winner in her battles you see that Feral just wanted to be a bitch. OK, So she goe sto jail from X-Force 41 - Quicksilver 6, where she's busted out. I was hoping that was the order it went in, otherwise I'd be confused. I hated how at the end of the X-Force arc in issue 89 or 90 or whatever she literally says, "Whatever, I'm out of here" and runs away. That's it. She slashes Syrin, runs, and that's it. Till Morrison. Terry is lucky she didn't get the Legacy Virus from being clawed by Feral.

I found it very odd too. He acted really upset and touched by her death claiming she was "only a kid". I mean, he knew she has over come Legacy and being depowered, and that she has worked for X-Corp, but I don't think he'd really care that much. She was a crazy bitch and I hated the 360 turn Morrison dumped on her because of her Legacy "cure". Honestly, here is Wolveronie and FerFer during X-Cutioner's Song.

Feral knows when she's lost, she's no fool. She won't get the extra beating. Rahne was on the rag and under the mutate spell at the time. Her beast was uncontrolable. Feral was just being her usual bitchy self. In all honesty, this fight HAD to happen. Wolfsbane left the New Mutants before Feral arrives. The two never met. So, Feral unknowingly took her place amongst the team. It's inteesting how they're both "feral" characters but have such different attitudes. Anyhow, Feral was pissed she lost this match, as seen in the next issue where Psylocke, Polaris, Wolverine, Gambit, Strong Guy. Wolfsbane, Multiple Man and Havok go after X-Force. She takes her rage out on the Cajun.
