Here are some collections I'd like to see from Marvel:

More of Peter David's Hulk
More Spider-Girl
Kurt Busiek's Thunderbolts
Classic New Warriors

What would you like to see?

I'd like to see:

Quasar TPBs (or an omnibus)
X-Man TPBs (or an omnibus)
Thor: Blood and Thunder TPB

Just to name a few...I know there's more I'd like to see, just can't think of any right now...

Some of the stuff that I wanted to read is already collected, but I didn't buy it because I didn't like the prices. Marvel is overpricing on some classic 70s/80s material, for some reason. I only bought the two Thor: The Eternals Saga trades when I saw them on a discount bin, and I had to pass on the Excalibur: Cross-Time Caper stuff, as well as the Alpha Flight Classic, Eternals Classic and Invaders Classic.

That said, they should simply have sold Alpha Flight as "John Byrne Visionaries". Speaking of Visionaries, right now I want some more Roger Stern Spidey, and I'd love to see a Bill Mantlo Spidey as well. Both Stern's and Mantlo's runs in Hulk deserve the Visionaries treatment. And a Claremont/Byrne Marvel Team-Up volume would be nice too.

Mark Gruenwald's run of Captain America.

Ding Ding...... absolutely..... if they had to choose just one arc to do......

Captain America No More...... Its when I got started reading the MU proper. 332-350 had me on the edge of my seat..... 3 volumes with 6 issues a pieces..... bring it.....

Bloodstone Hunt is already in trade but I hate the binding.... it looks odd on the shelve with all the other Marvel Standard Trade size.....

Also the Grand Director / Dr. Faustus arc. I can't believe that Marvel hasn't collected this story yet. Its so relevant on what is going on right now.

A couple of guilty pleasures for me: A new printing of X-Men:Fatal Attractions.

X-Men/Avengers: Bloodties

Avengers: Under Siege

Alpha Flight vol 2.

Quasar (would love an Omnibus, but trades, Essentials, or hardcovers would be wonderful, too)
Avengers: Assault on Olympus (other Stern Avengers, too)
Gru's Captain America

It would have been nice to have a Quasar TPB. I've been forced to buy back issues to catch up on his adventures.

BUT what I'd really like to see is a high quality TPB of Arthur Adams/Ann Nocenti's "Longshot" mini series. Adams art was incredible... but when I broke out the books the other day and looked through them the old newsprint made it looks worse than I remember.

I'd like a little more effort put into it than some of these "Classics" TPBs we're seeing. I bought the latest New Mutants Classic which features Sienkiewicz's first books on the series. Wasn't impressed by the reproduction. The colors were garishly bright and were obviously just the four color separations of the past reused without any adaptation for the glossier new pages. I was hoping for better.

Another vote for Gruenwald's Cap.

Also:

Starlin's Adam Warlock
Rich Buckler's Dathlok stories from Astonishing Tales
The original Thunderbolts series
DeMatteis/Zeck Captain America
Any Michelinie/Layton Iron Man story that isn't Armour Wars and Demon in a Bottle (since these have already been reprinted)
Claremont/Byrne Marvel Team-Up
More Classic Alpha Flight (up to Byrne's last issue)
Stern/JRJR Spider-Man
Spider-Man: Gang War by Defalco/Frenz
Spider-Man: Death of Jean DeWolffe and the follow-up Sin-Eater story from Spectacular Spider-Man

I think it's time to revive this thread, as it seems some of the trades mentioned are actually coming out now. We're seeing more Deadpool, classic New Warriors, and Gruenwald's Captain America as trades. And I'm happy to see that Marvel is still releasing Spider-Girl trades.

So, here are some trades I would like to see Marvel release (some I may have already mentioned):

Thunderbolts Classic
Ka-Zar by Mark Waid
Untold Tales of Spider-Man
Justice by Peter David
Jubilee by Robert Kirkman
The Pulse complete edition

I definitely agree with continuations of Priest's Black Panther run and a trade for The Crew. I'm hoping they keep trading Joe Kelly's run on Deadpool as well.

Some books I'd like to see collected:

Steve Gerber and JJ Birch's Foolkiller mini (my individual issues are getting a bit ragged)

Warren Ellis and Leo Manco's runs on Hellstorm and Druid in one volume (I find it hard to believe they haven't done this yet)

Steve Englehart's "Time After Time" arc from WCA 16-25 (this is the one Avengers epic that seems to get no love, but maybe now that Mockingbird is back...)

A new edition of Blaze of Glory and Apache Skies in one volume

Also:

Starlin's Adam Warlock

Starlin's Warlock is finally getting a Masterworks this summer. More pricey than a trade, but I think it's worth it.

Rich Buckler's Dathlok stories from Astonishing Tales

That would be my number one request right there. I have been begging for years for Essetnial volumes for Deathlok and the Guardians of the Galaxy. Since they are finally putting out some classic Guardians collections in the next few months that just leaves Deathlok.

I am 99% certain that the Death of Jean DeWolf was collected at some point. (My favorite Spidy story ever).

I would love an omnibus or essential or whatever of the Avengers from 212 up to the end of the Stern run around 185 or so.

I also agree with a lot of the old Captain America needing some attention. Lots of great stuff there.

How about the pre-Siminson Thor era and the pre Byrne FF? There are some real gems there, even though they pale in comparison.

MTIO would be a good candidate. Didn't they do a collection of the Project Pegasus Saga at some point though? I can't remember for sure.

I'd like to see:
[...]
Thor: Blood and Thunder TPB
:jawdrop:

Did you just ask for a TPB of Thud and Blunder, possibly the worst single Thor arc ever?

John Byrne/Paul Ryan's Iron Man
They TPBed Dragon Seed relatively recently, didn't they?

BUT what I'd really like to see is a high quality TPB of Arthur Adams/Ann Nocenti's "Longshot" mini series. Adams art was incredible... but when I broke out the books the other day and looked through them the old newsprint made it looks worse than I remember.
They did a "Premiere HC" (standard-comic-sized hardback) of that recently.

It's actually worse than that - they recolour all the stuff that predates computer colouring [or for which the layered computer files have been lost/are incompatible with modern software], because the dot-screen on the old stuff is too large to use on glossy paper... HOWEVER, they make a point of recreating the stuff exactly as it was before (bar the smaller dot-screen). This includes colouring errors (even when, as was apparently the case with the Devil Dinosaur Omnibus, only part of the original print run was afflicted!) as well as not adjusting to how it would have looked in-hand.

Barry Windsor-Smith apparently can't look at any of the reprints of Weapon X because the colouring prints so garishly on glossy white paper.

Nocenti's Daredevil and the Typhoid mini
Slapstick
Ellis' Doom 2099
Mills' Punisher 2099
The Defenders
Hellstorm
Nth Man
classic Patsy Walker comics
some sort of Best of... for What If?
the painted oneshots based on old school two-fer-one books (Tales to Astonish, Tales of Suspense, et al).
and, I'd like an omnibus of Nightnurse stuff, including her very short-lived series, and an omnibus of older Black Widow material, including single issue stories and out of print short collections or oneshots.

The pre-Byrne FF are collected
In Search of Galactus collects #204-214
Fantastic Four Visionaries: John Byrne Vol. 0 collects #215-218, 220-221.

The Man-Thing has two essentials collecting up to the early 80s. There's little of interest after that.

And Nocenti/JR Jr/Williamson's run on DD is one really needed.
