Did anyone catch this in my cup of joe.

Hey Joe! First off, Secret Invasion Rocks! Second, a buddy of mine bet me that the Beyonder is mixed up in this whole Invasion thingy (Because of the Illuminati series, were he thinks EVERYTHING in it is a clue) I say no, no way. Can you help us out with a hint? The loser has to buy the winner 3 Marvel Trades. (I'm wantin' Secret Wars, Mighty Avengers vol. 1, and a Masterworks Avengers!) Thanks!!! Make Mine Marvel!!!!!

JQ- RedEyedJedi, better start saving your money.

Is Joe really giving a hint here. Is the Beyonder the HE who the Skrulls keep talking about.

It sure sounds like it.

If that's the case, hopefully we'll also see the Molecule Man.

No, you find out who "he" is in Incredible Hercules current run...
And even if beyonder is involved with SI... then the infinity gems are too, amd we don't know what kind of characterization Marvel decided for big B (god/ just a cosmic cube/inhuman mutant with too much power and time on his hands?)

Bingo!

Interesting. The only Beyonder rumor I'm aware of is that...
... the Beyonder, in an attempt to understand Earth's super heroes, transformed himself The Sentry. He gave himself a history, family and his own villain, himself!

Funny. I read as though JQ was saying to the questioner to save his money. Meaning, No, Beyonder is not in the SI.

IF that's true that would actually make me interested in that other character besides the beyonder mentioned in your spoilers. You know the one.

I can see how you can read it that way. I read as the questioner better start saving his money because he has to buy his friends the trades because the Beyonder would be in SI.

I wouldn't put much stock in that Cup of Joe feature given that Quesada tends to use misdirection.

If that spoiler's true, I'll lose all respect for whoever writes it and lose all interest in a character that I'm one of the few people who enjoy. Considering that would absolutely undermine everything that has been written about him by Paul Jenkins.

Good example of why the folks at Marvel can't make everyone happy, I think that'd be a fun twist and is one of the few ways to make sense of everything like the comic book having his adventures in it that eventually actually happened , Plus it would say that WWHulk fought Beyonder.. given an intentionally limited Beyonder, to a standstill. Heck.. Bruce Banner punched him out when he was drained. That's fun stuff!

But at the same time I can see where bigger fans of the character could be let down over the development, just like SpiderWoman fans probably feel a little cheated. Only way I could really relate is if they say Johnny Storm's a Skrull or maybe Wonder Man is really Ben Reilly after making a deal with Mephisto's podiatrist.

If "RED EYED JEDI" is the one who asked this means:
No Beyonder in this mini series, so the Beyonder is definitely no he for the Skrulls to talk about

I'm personally not a fan of using the Beyonder UNLESS they at least make an attempt to align the continuity of everything.

The Beyonder has done a lot of stuff since Secret Wars 2... he was a cosmic cube, he/she became Cosmos and the Maker, fought Thanos, and perhaps was released at the start of Annihilation.

Still, I gotta admit... having the Beyonder and the Infinity Gems both floating around out there is potentially interesting. At different times you've had the 2 most powerful plot devices in the MU floating around and there's a possibility at least that both might show up in the same story. It's like Secret Wars colliding with Infinity Gauntlet.

Other way around, the poster bet his buddy Beyonder ISN'T in it, JQ says save your pennies to HIM.. meaning he'll lose the bet, meaning Beyonder IS in the book.

I'm hoping they do something more with the Beyonder. The Illuminati spin on him was not very believable... what, a super-mutant? Lame. Hoping that was a bit of misdirection.

Yeah this is a good point. When everyone was wondering who the new Daredevil was some one ask Joe about Clint what he was doing and Joe said he was sure Clint was having a Devil of a time. The first thing I thought was yeah its Iron Fist.

But so far a lot of the stuff that happen in New Avengers: Illuminati has played a roll in SI with The Beyonder and the Infinity Gauntlet being the only part that hasn't been touched yet.

Agreed. If that rumor does turn out to be true, I'd actually find that character to be interesting.
