Does anyone have any clue whatever happened to Lex's baby daughter? She has not been mentioned in a long while, and I can't find anything on her current status online, which I find rather strange given her dad's prominence in various DC titles. I mean, retcons are nothing new, but to expect your readership to quietly accept the unexplained disappearance of a major character's child seems a bit much. Did I miss anything?

I believe the last time that Lena Luthor actually appeared on panel was in that Superman: Metropolis Jimmy Olsen-centered miniseries. I think she just got shunted off into character limbo after Jeph Loeb reduced Lex to a raving loon & fugitive from justice in S/B: Public Enemies. Caring for his infant daughter and having her along for the ride might have made Lex more sympathetic, compared to being a vengeance-crazed villain on the run from the law all by himself, which was the characterization that DC was presumably going for leading into Infinite Crisis. I assume that Lena may eventually reappear, with an explanation of "watched over by court-appointed legal guardians in Luthor's absence," once we finally get a course-correction and end this failed return to the "one-dimensionally evil fugitive madman" era for Lex. I dug when Lex milked his single dad status (heh, single since he killed Lena's mother, the Contessa, of course) when running for President and I would like to see Lena return in some incarnation eventually, since she provides a counterpoint to Clark's family of Lois, Ma & Pa Kent and Kara Zor-El. I figure Lex can pull a Red Skull and do the whole "accelerated aging" bit on her at some point so that she can have a more active role in the Superman books as his daughter/heir/protege.
