There's a six-foot rabbit sitting in an office chair in my living room. He's there because I went on vacation.

There is this reward program for the kids in which they get a free ticket to Six Flags. So my wife and I pack up the camping gear and make Six Flags one day of a 4 day camping trip.

The first day was travel and setting up camp. And buying anything we discovered we forgot to pack.

The second day was a trip to the St. Louis Zoo (http://www.stlzoo.org/)(admission: free--love that tradition about St. Lou!). We did pay extra to see the temporary exhibit and ride about dinosaurs. The zoo is too big to see it all, and we missed the debut of some tiger cubs (no one told us...). We then went to the Muny (http://www.muny.org/)and saw High School Musical on Stage. (The Muny has free seats, but you have to stand in line to get them. We opted to buy tickets.) Back to the campsite at well after midnight...

The third day we went to Six Flags-St. Louis...which is really in Eureka. After lunch, my kid wanted to ride some of the kiddie rides at Bugs Bunny Park, so I stopped and played ring toss to kill some time. And I won. Cool, I thought, what prize do I get? Any of the big ones, I was told. So I hunted down my family with a 6 foot Bugs Bunny on my shoulder.

My kid squealed excitedly. My wife wondered what I plan to do with it and how are we going to get it home? I shrugged. "I'll take Bugs to the car." Maybe he'll have to sit in my daughter Sarah's lap on the way home.

We stopped at some gift shops. Best display of JLU action figures we've seen in some time. So we get some of those, too. And I put Bugs in the driver seat and the rest in the trunk. Then we went to the water park and spent the rest of the day watching my kid mug all sorts of people in costume...

My kid and wife laughed when they saw Bugs. We stuffed BB in the trunk and went to camp. Bugs spent the night in a camping chair in the tent.

Now the hard part. With the camping gear, the entire trunk is full and the back seat has my daughter and a large cooler. Where will Bugs go?

I pushed the cooler as far to the side as it would go. I then put Bugs seated in the middle. Sarah was crowded, but everything fit. Later, Sarah decides that Bugs will sit at her feet.

We went to the City Museum (http://www.citymuseum.org/home.asp), (sadly not free) where my kid crawling up some tunnels that went into the ceiling...and disappeared. She'd said that she come right back, but she got lost. So my wife went up after her. After about 20 minutes, I figured they were together and I have to find them both. So I went looking. 15 minutes later I found my wife.. who was not liking this part of the trip. 10 minutes later we found our daughter, who had finally found her way back to where she was supposed to go. We explored the museum (which is 80% tunnels and mazes and slides for the kids to explore). Our parking meter had run out and the fire alarm went off, so we went home. But we'll definitely go back and make a day of Museum exploring.

We had to go home to get ready to get together with my family for the 4th of July. And Bugs got his chair in my living room.

And I have been told not to play any more games unless I know what to do with the prize.
