Thought I'd share, because it's an odd dream. I had a dream before that and I have no idea what it was about, other than I didn't have any money to get where I was going and I was wondering how I'll have to pay my cab fare. Anyway, the second dream was me and some guys moving stuff for Joey Ramones. We were basically in his pad, which was a very nice Queens apartment, larger than my place will ever be. And I basically just arranged his living room. After a while, it got late and I was the only one there and I thanked him for inviting me in his house (he didn't say more than two words to anyone, which I heard was Joey all over. He was a shy one). Anyway, I shook his hand and told him how important to me he was. He was on a recliner sofa. He had shaved his head and had a bit of a paunche. For some reason, I had knew this was after his battle with cancer. This was Joey whose cancer went into his remission and he got a little doughy in the middle. Anyway, he pulled me in and gave me a hug and asked my why I thanked him and I told him that he was part of the first band that I really liked. I sat down on the floor and we talked about punk and then I woke up.

So, in tribute to Joey and the Ramones, Do you wanna dance? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcsVOFh-Ipo)

In the begining of the movie slacker a character comments on a dream he had. Then he supposes that dreams are a gateway to alternate possible realities based on at least diffrent choices people make if not just random diffrences between realities. Maybe in some alternate reality where joey ramone went into remision you met him and help him rearrange his apartment or it just was a dream. That's the crazy thing about dreams.

Whatever it is, it made me happy. And also made me go back and listen to my Ramones CD. So it's all good in the hood.

i was told growing up that dream are in fact another plane of reality.
a way for our minds to see what our eyes cannot.

How much truth there is to this i do not know, but if i dream of something i know to be an Omen, i take it seriously.

Be sure to check out the Ramone's tribute album; We Are A Happy Family for great Ramones tunes covered by artists like Eddie Vedder, Chrissie Hynde, etc...
I really love this album as much as the originals.

What a great dream. I got to meet Joey in 1989 after a show here in Lexington. I guess it was about 30 seconds all told, but it was one of the coolest moments I can remember. Especially for a 15 year old. Dee Dee would leave the Ramones just a few months later and although things wouldn't be the same after he left, their live shows got a fresh shot of adrenaline. C Jay's young blood and energy sent their live shows into overdrive. I remember almost getting trampled during Psycho Therapy on their Escape from New York Tour in 1990. So unbelievably fast.
So unbelievably cool.

Lymphoma sucks.

Thanks for sharing. Gotta go put in Ramones Leave Home on.
