Does anybody know what happened to the villains and the Denver suburb at the end of Secret Wars? In what issue did they arrive on Earth? I've always wondered...

I always just assumed the Molecule Man was eventually able to teleport them directly back to Earth and did so off-panel. IIRC, he said he'd been figuring out how to do that as they were floating along. After bringing back the destroyed stars, it should've been easy for him, and we know everybody got back okay since we saw them all later.

They all made it back, but it was never shown where/how in any actual issue (to my knowledge, anyway, and I was reading most of the various titles at the time).

I think their return happened largely behind the scenes. As far as Molecule Man and Volcana are concerned, they didn't appear between SECRET WARS #12 and SECRET WARS II #1.

I could be forgetting something, but that's only a year or so of issues. ASM #252-268. The first seven issues of that is the Alien Costume Saga, then there's a Hobgoblin two or three parter, then a series of done-in-ones featuring new characters (notably Silver Sable).

Anybody have the issues handy to check?

You're right -- she showed up in Secret War II before she showed up in ASM. She didn't make an appearance there until issue #283.

While researching Beyonder, I recall a quick flashback of Molecule Man bringing the villains home, but I can't remember now where it was.

Molecule man was great imho, well written character, what ever happened to him?

Wikipedia says he was most recently one of the Raft escapees.

It doesn't look like he did very much following Secret Wars II, aside from this:

Molecule Man was later placed under the mental control of the Puppet Master. Reese was used by him to combat Aron the Rogue Watcher, and was defeated by him. It is unclear if after these events he still possesses his previous level of power.

I believe they broke up some time after the "Secret Wars III" storyline in FF, though.

EDIT: Okay, a quick google tells me they broke up in FF ANNUAL #27.

Any good writer can write any character. So excuses really are not accepted. I liked the idea of him being a reformed villain & had a girlfriend, Volcana.

Molecule Man is really one of the most powerful being in the Marvel U- give him his Secret Wars level of confidence and he could do anything.

I was hoping he'd be the secret weapon they used against Hulk in WWH, or he'll turn up in SI and reveal all the Skrulls.... but he won't be. Wrtiers just don't use him. Guess Owen's too deus ex machina for many.

Would be Great to find out Molecule Man is in Africa helping make crops grow or the rain come down right; or he's helping rebuild New Orleans; or just doing something other than rotting in a cell for what crimes exactly?

Speaking of Secret Wars people- did that Golden Armoured guy from Secret Wars II ever turn up again? The Hollywood writer who was given power by the Beyonder, trashed where he worked, created a winged horse and had a fight with the X-Men and Iron Man? Thunder something???

How much PIS is involved with Owen being in a cell involuntarily? What next the Beyonder in hand cuffs? Glatactus in the back of a Squad car?

Their is nobody on 616 earth that could hold him for a second if he chose not to be held. Kill him maybe but there is no other way to physically stop him.

If he was being held illegally like some of the others in the raft. Shield should start worrying how well Helicarriers fly after being turned to Manure. The guy is a worldbreaker not someone Shield could hold.

Molecule man did merged with the beyonder to form a cosmic cube for a while , was let loose , lose his confidence , got reunite with Volcana but got beaten by Klaw , then Volcana broke off with him but both of them were present at the absorbing man's wedding with Titania.

Underused character , i supposed his biggest exposure by far is the secret war series , both 1 & 2. In his fight with Aron the rogue watcher , he apparently has a weakness against organic matter. I think i last saw him in the JLA/Avengers , i believe Sersi trapped him in a wall or something.

PErhaps the imprisoned Molecule Man is in truth a skrull and the real one is dead or in Skrull prison...
