Guys, I noticed that (dead) Yelena Belova is playing some role in Vanguard’s tale.
Does anyone have any explanation?
...and please dont tell me she is a Skrull...

I was only published once, and that was nearly two years ago, so I doubt very people are reading me.

Not many people seem to be reading it, because it's been quietly cancelled with #12. That said, I'd certainly go back and buy back issues now that I know it's a contained set (and with several stories).
Anthologies can't really sell anymore, it seems. Which sucks because it's a nice place for major and minor characters to get the same amount of exposure.

According to Joe Q, it hasn't been canceled.
1-MCP is taking a little more than a month off, but less than six months. We'll be re-launching shortly with a new "season" of the series. This might not be the biggest blockbuster book we have, but it's a great place to do unusual stories like the Ivan Brandon/Niko Henrichon MACHINE MAN story that's been running recently. Season Two of MCP will have a wilder, more freewheeling spirit than the first--it'll be a place where you won't be able to guess what'll be coming next.
Definitely one to read with the whole set infront of you IMO. 6 pages of story once a month really isn't enough to keep me interested. Maybe as a weekly, but as it is I have trouble remembering (and caring) what happened the month before.

Had to bump this because I just read the Deadpool segment in MCP #10 and, not sure if it's the insomnia, but it was pretty funny. *cheapshot alert* Better than Way's Deadpool.
Strange that this book doesn't get more attention. I mean, it's got Deadpool AND Machine Ma-- excuse me, Aaron Stack. And he's got a little Celestial "Jiminy Cricket". The Vanguard story seems to have picked the hell up (I read the first few issues of MCP and it was utterly drab and boring to me then). Haven't got to the Omega Flight part yet but I enjoyed the first parts, so unless it's drastically dropped off, I should be quite pleased with the issue as a whole.
Thumbs up.
