Books are actually shipped several days early...not just one or two. If Diamond is closed one of those days, as well as the USPS, or whatever shipper they're using, it's going to cause a delay.

For some strange reason the comics for certain areas still shipped on time even with the 4th of July holiday. I know this cause shops in the Texas/Okla. area, and then some, got their new books in today instead of tomorrow.

I don't really know what could cause this unless certain shippers didn't get the day off or whatever. But when I got my books today I felt like I'm from the future returning to the past. :smile:

If a store got them early, (which is possible, depending how close they are to a distribution hub), they were still supposed to be held until the official release date. Not a huge deal to fans, but a major one for retailors.

Are they worried about people making copies and selling them before the real ones come out or something?
