I was just wondering if anyone heard about any cameos or anything that the Order might be in involving Secret invasion. I know absolutely nothing about them, even though I've seen what they look like, but I was about to buy the paperback, because I heard it was good. I think the reason that the series didn't last is because even though the book had a couple of Iron Man appearances, it didn't seem like they really had ties to anything, and haven't really made any appearances in the MU. I think this event would be the perfect opportunity to integrate them into the MU.

No plans mentioned, although they are slated to appear in future Marvel comics, like Avengers: the Initiative, Invincible Iron Man, and the Eternals. They've been mentioned in a solicit for upcoming Eternals issues. It would make sense for them to appear in X-Men occasionally as well, as they are the super team for California.

I thought they were all depowered or something.

Regardless of if they were or not, that'd be a neat story to do as a one-shot or something: A group of washout Initiative trainees who go "Screw it, it's my planet too" and try to fight off the Skrulls without powers.

They got repowered at the end of their series.

And no offense, but that idea sounds hokie. I'm all for the "everyman" being empowered (not literally) and fighting the "machine," but I honestly doubt they'd be able to put much of a dent into a Super Skrull. Plus it kinda reminds me of the end of Civil War. =/

didn't Pym-Skrull give them their powers?

Nope, they were Tony Stark's personal pet project, he hand picked the members and designed their abilities.

And as mentioned, the remaining members were given long term powers and the separate "social experiment" portion of their organization was removed and they were folded into the rest of the Initiative's military style operations.

Calamity designed his own prosthetic legs if I recall correctly.

Well, it'd be more of a guerilla resistance thing.

Calamity designed his own prosthetic legs if I recall correctly.True, but he doesn't wear those when he's fighting crime. When he joined the Order I believe he got upgraded ones from Stark. At least that was my interpretation b/c at the end of the series, he had to be fitted w/ his old pair of prosthetics.

Well, it'd be more of a guerilla resistance thing.Ah, well that would be better, but they'd still need some heavy-hitters I think. I was originally picturing like a Tiananmen Square type event, and that, I don't think, would end any better this time around.

That is correct. I think they gave him the ability to be as fast as he was.
