I have been a fan of the Hellboy comics for about a month now and after lurking around the forum for a few weeks, I have to decided to join.

I'll also post this: a preview of Wild Hunt.

Good to see you zigart, thanks and welcome. Someone here raved how DF's sketches or prints looked evolved since Darkness Calls. As does this very much anyway. Supercool and folklorean as always but more his own somehow. Fantastic.

I have a feeling - this having nothing to do with Mignola's deliver rate I have everyone understand! - a feeling that DF draws like lots and lots, where MM rather broods for stuff that will work.
Don't know if this is anywhere near accurate but yeah, probably because he did so many covers and pin-ups ('86-'92) which proved always like unique takes, but to my taste not necessarily for being just that (MM sounded often amazed on critiques, good or bad - like he was saying: I just draw stuff like that).

Well, just to say this looks like HB's really sunk into mr. Fegredo, like bodily forged to a right hand of stone .

I wish I didn't read that. In a few pages I was sucked into the story (Finally we get the Osiris Club back!) and we've got to wait 'till winter.

Beautiful art by Duncan, so rich! His work has definitely evolved since Darkness Calls.

So, is the "Alice" Hellboy glimpses at Daagda's funeral the grown-up baby Alice Monaghan from "The Corpse"? Hmmmm........ !
