What she ripped out Marrow's heart? When? Why? How is Marrow still alive?

Aw I thought it was something violently fierce. That's still cool I guess.
Cassidy Keep, Wolverine is in leg irons, Colossus tries to break them but fails, they're made of some really strong material. Storm offers her help, Logan starts blowing her off, then he hears the irons go "click" and fall off and he's like wtf.
Lifting a wallet off Charles Xavier when she was five years old.
Beating the death trap her mentor left her in, around the same time.
Oh, and one of the most awesome comic moments of all time, in Magneto's volcano base? All the X-Men are immobilized in chairs that regress them to the mental and physical levels of a preschooler. Only miscalculation by Magneto was, Storm knew how to pick locks when she was only a few years old. So she drops her tiara in her lap, uses her tongue to pull out a lockpick from it and starts jimmying the locks of her restraint chair with the lockpick in her teeth. The lockpick drops, and Magneto's maintenance robot replaces the tiara on Storm's head, and she doesn't have the energy to try a second time. Or so we think. Then, a little later, Magneto walks in, and is blasted from all sides by the freed X-Men.

The Arena is an epic. Printed poetry with spiffy pictures.
EDIT: And just so we're clear, it's far from being my fav Storm story. It's my fav Claremont faux-pas, though. Big diff.
Still, anyone entering any Storm-related debate *must* read it.

Uhm...she pulled it out with her bare hand...
I would consider that rather violently fierce.
But would also throw in the Jovian Pressure Dome stunt in there, that was pretty awesome. Disbursing Stardust (Herald of Galactus), hosting Eternity, and there are going to be some pretty sweet as moments in her upcoming mini just so you all know

My goodness where do I start?!
If you like epic tales, then you'll love her journey across the Sahara desert when she all but 12 years old I believe. She's a survivor, and everyone likes survivors. She escaped a rape attempt and ended up killing the man out of self defense.
When she was orphaned at the age of six, she was admitted into a group of street urchins who stole and pick pocketed to survive. She was the best student of her mentor.
She also saved the life of T'Challa when she was 12 I believe. He was being attacked by a white supremist and she rescued him.
SHE SURVIVED A BULLET TO THE HEAD! That's PLUS 20 brownie points in my book!
She is very independent, and can handle herself in nearly any fight, whether she's with powers or not.
Her fight with Marrow and Callisto was great.
Her vs. Dr. Doom and the X-Men was fantastic as well.
Her vs Emma Frost was pretty great as well.
Her time being depowered was a great moment in her history, not because she was depowered, but because everything she learned when she was depowered. She grew as a character in that time period, and matured as well. It was like a moment of ascension for her.
Also there are the Life Death issues that were good too.

XML2 = X-Men Legends 2. Not that off-topic, really, since Storm was pretty damn strong if you knew what you were doing. And yes, I mean exploiting Static Charge.
Believe it or not, I tweaked Jean's powers to make her a potent telepathy/TK user and I actually gave Storm the Leadership *passive*. I think I got an aneurysm out of the latter.
Of course, there was a short period during which I considered removing Red from the game, but said thoughts/conflict brought me to this enlightened/sympathetic mood.

Jean and Storm were both REALLY awesome in X-Men Legends 1. They were both dumbed down in 2. I thought a tk blast (similar in design to Scott's optic beam) would have been a better power visually (and gameplay wise) then the stupid psionic dart or whatever that Jean had. Storm's chain lightning was cooler visually and powerwise in the first game as well. I also thought that both Storm and Jean's melee attacks looked better for each character in the first game as well.

Lady is so hardcore she doesn't have to worry about licking blood, diseases and all that, eh?
Actualy since she had (at least we think she has one and some writers anknowledged that) a healing factor, it would either mean that there are no dangerous bacterias or virals in her blood or lots of anti-bodys in it.
Since HFs destroy any bacterias or viruses which are not part of the body (stomach bacterias which we need to consume food would still be there), which was the reason Pandemic lost all his powers when he absorbed Sabertooths healing factor.
So licking the blood of a HF mutant might not be really dangerous (except he or she has nasty stuff in it, but Marrow doesn't seemed to).
By the way i wonder how BP would react when Storm tells him what she did there (something like: "So when you tell someone your are going to rip his heart out you could actualy mean it?" i guess.).

Well, it's more the 'coming out of a stabwound inflicted moments before' angle that worries me. And that blade looks a bit suspicious, eh.
Oh and then there's the whole 'OMG GROSS!' angle.
By the way i wonder how BP would react when Storm tells him what she did there.
He'd probably think he liked it better when he was worrying about her having x-orgies. Oh, wait. The disease factor is actually a bigger concern. Nevermind.

I liked it better the first time when Storm stabbed Callisto in her heart in their first & only duel when she won the mantle of leadership of Morlocks in Uncanny X-Men #169-170; Scott Lobdell is just doing a simulation of this scenario with Marrow, but without the consequences.

Now that i think about it, we really don't know if those knifes have actualy flat surfaces like metal ones or if they have little edges.
So you mean the dangerous part is, that she is licking blood from a blade which came out of a body via a wound and has blood from another wound on it, not to forget that they are fighting in sewers, which is a broodplace for all kind of bacterias?
Yep now I'm grossed out too.
Reminds me its a good proof on why Marrow must have a healing factor. Since even with a second heart, your survival chances are still quite low if you have a fist siced hole in your chest and lie around, half dead, in the sewers (i wonder what went through her mind during that time).
Also reminds me why everyone just left her body behind?
I liked it better the first time when Storm stabbed Callisto in her heart in their first & only duel when she won the mantle of leadership of Morlocks in Uncanny X-Men #169-170; Scott Lobdell is just doing a simulation of this scenario with Marrow, but without the consequences.
Actualy fro what i know, most readers and writers think like you in this. Storms fight against Callisto is more famous and liked than this one. Not only because it was the right dark action in the right desperate time, but also because it meant the start of Storms stronger site.
Also it got shown in a single page with no dialoge making it quite more stylish.
Her fight against Marrow meanwhile is indeed often seen as just a more violent repeating of the Callisto/Storm fight, done by Lobdell to reinforce Storms tough female X-men image.
This is why the Callisto/Storm fight is more iconic, more remembered and more liked.

Thats cool. Good job! She was seriously dumbed down in 2.
Her psionic boom or whatever was WAY cooler in the first one as well. It even had some knockback capabilities. Could you mod her psionic boom to be worth using again? And what do you think about giving her a tk "beam" that causes physical damage made in a similar fashion to Cyclop's optic blast? I thought that would be cool (since TK should cause physical damage and she usually shoots those things in beams).

But, yeah, in it's own Chain Lightning was a semi-bust.
Hmmm...I still missed her awesome chain lightning. And I also missed how none of the non-super strength characters could throw people anymore. LAME.

Her psionic boom or whatever was WAY cooler in the first one as well. It even had some knockback capabilities. Could you mod her psionic boom to be worth using again?
If you mean convert the dmg to physical and add some knockback to turn it into some sort of tk bomb, then... way ahead of ya.
Gotta say, I'm kinda torn over the damage. Am thinking of throwing in a tk mastery passive.
And what do you think about giving her a tk "beam" that causes physical damage made in a similar fashion to Cyclop's optic blast? I thought that would be cool (since TK should cause physical damage and she usually shoots those things in beams).
I'd stick with the TK anim. Closest thing in XML2 would be the visual effects of Magneto's beam and then add some knockback. But if memory serves right, there might be better effects in the MUA files although they'd probably be a bit too... flashy. Would have to check it out. Thing is, I'm currently busy making a rushed run through the game cause my old saved games were corrupted, lol. Would save a lot of time to just install the thing at work and do it, but what can you do, eh?
Hmmm...I still missed her awesome chain lightning.
Chain Lightning was kinda lame without Static Charge.
Oh, and... Storm = awesome. Right.
Refer to the whole 'licking the blood of a dirty knife in the sewers' routine. Staying on-topic and all.

I never read that issue, but that looks horrible. Storm looks like a lovesick, deranged child.

TUXM: Storm's awesome-est moments...# 55...(or thereabouts?)...It's a tie...She single handedly takes out a gang of thugs when they threatened an aged couple out for a stroll in a greenhouse ( I loved the "...shrouds herself in st.Elmo's Fire" bit...very dramatic) circa UXM 180/1(?) and does it again circa 204/5(?) in a San Fransisco back alley, only this time, sans powers.

Uncanny X-Men #206 is when Storm defeats a gang in San Francisco & saves an elderly couple from them. I believe she takes out a street gang in Uncanny X-Men #180 & saves another elderly couple.

One of my favorites was when she turned down Loki and destroyed the hammer he gave her in X-Men annual 9.
And when she generate a Jovian pressure field in UXM 449

...the very last page of "Lifedeath II"...Storm is at the very top of the mountain, her arms are raised to the evening sky..."My feet may never leave the ground...but in my heart where it truly matters...I soar higher than the stars." ...it is a singular moment that is poetic, emotional, uplifting, beauty-full, humbling, powerful and transcendent all at once...the ultimate definition of WHO Storm is...a very tangible piece, thanx in no short measure to the skilled artistry of Barry Windsor-Smith and Chris Claremont.

Smooshing a nuke with air definately ranks up there. I loved when she trashed the first Sentinal she ever saw. "Uh, Scott, these...Sentinals, they are large metallic robots, yes?" "Of course they are-ARG" (as Cyclops gets blasted). 'Female mutant, this unit is equipped to handle all mutant powers. This unit---" (as Storm picks it up and throws it into a hurricane above NYC). Nice!
The electrolysis trick from X-Treme was nice, I guess Storm can breathe underwater now.
And the fight with Silver Surfer, girl can throw a hydrogen bomb together in a sinch.

Notice how Cyclops' beams, Colossus's blows and Wolverine's claws are completely ineffective against Magneto's shield, but Storm's vortex tears through instantly.
