That was awesome. I love the music box like voice...thing on the front of his helm. It just adds so much with something so little. Such a great design.

I'm not the violent eye-for-an-eye sort, but I hope Fragglewump gets the crap beaten out of her. Trying to eat kitties... The way Hellboy stops her though is hilarious. "Lucy, I'm home!"

And boy, Johann is neat. But what's particularly striking about this scene is how crazy and off-kilter it is. Danny Elfman's swanky music, Hellboy's raspy panicky voice, the priceless expression on Fragglewump's face when Hellboy calls her out... CRAZY.

In a crazy good way.

i agree on the voicebox unit on the front of his helmet. As much as I love his design in the comics, I must say I really enjoy it here the more I see it.

I cant wait to see him use his ectoplasm!!!

It's weird seeing (hearing rather?) the transition from comic to movie with Johann and the rest of the crew. I really, really hope he rapidly cusses in German. That would be the icing on the cake.

And on a semi-related note... If you play the Whack a Troll game at hellboymovie.com, you'll see a new clip everytime you beat a level. Use the SPACE key to slow down the game and make it easier to win. One especially awesome clip involves Hellboy reloading the Big Baby... Sure, on paper that doesn't sound like much but trust me, it's hilariously awesome.

Seriously though, I don't think I would've ever put the connection together if I hadn't known who was voicing him. Because honestly, it doesn't really sound like Stewie to me. It's much deeper, raspier. The filter effect of the helmet apparatus affects it, too.

Johann is so cool. I hope him and Hellboy are getting along by the end of the movie. Sort of like Hellboy and Manning in the first film.

Imagine my surprise, upon first the clip and then your showering Johann remark - made my eyes all misty...:biggrin:.
Still, Johann's 'off suit appearance' is like a whole new take on Hollywood nudity. Then again not, since there's nobody to show for :confused:..
