I wish they'd make a LS about Mister Sinister's involvement with the rest of the MU. For instance, did Mister Sinister mentor Baron Von Blitzschlag?
The Baron :
1. ex-Nazi scientist
2. Has perfected cloning in the Fifty States Initiative
3. Is very likely a genetic mutant
Mister Sinister:
1. Worked for the Nazis as a scientist ( covertly in the concentration camps )
2. Mastered perfect cloning ( Marauders )
3. Pioneered and devoted his whole existence to the study of genetic mutants

I'd buy that for a doller. Well, three... but you get my point.

Seconded, and I'd pick Mike Carey to write it. His masterful characterization and usage of Essex is my favorite aspect of X-Men: Legacy (along with the return of Sebastian Shaw and all the seamless interweaving of past X-Men lore).

For all we know, Fontanelle/Gloria Dyne could be their daughter, if she isn't a clone of Amanda Mueller. Who else would the Black Womb breed with anyway?

What's so "masterful" about the way Carey "characterizes" Mister Sinister?

A number of previous writers had bungled using Sinister, like David Hine in Colossus: Bloodlines and Frank Tieri in his Weapon X series. It's nice to see someone who "gets" the character, knows his history, and puts effort into writing him well.

Indeed. I haven't seen Sinister written so well since the old days.

Sinister in Weapon X #14 is one of the best comics of the last 5 years. Nothing wrong with Tieri's usage in that.

I agree. I really enjoyed the Weapon X series and was sad that it got canceled. And Sinister was great in it I thought, although I'd still like to learn more about the Neverland camp....and Cecelia Reyes! I think he kept her alive and by his side. Her medical knowledge led to her becoming his lab assistant.

Milligan, Nicezia and Carey are my fave Sinister writers. Claremont too, though he was roped in before he could do too much damage originally.

Tieri's whole run should have been illustrated by John Paul Leon, it would have become a top book.

That's true. I was thinking more of that Mandrake-illustrated arc with Sinister, Sabretooth, and John Sublime. Which was not good and had Sinister meekly giving away his secrets to Sublime, which was very OOC for him.

I totally agree with those picks. I loved that Cable/Deadpool 'House of M' tie-in that Nicieza did with Sinister, as well as his recurring use of him in his 90s X-Men issues. And Milligan's 'Further Adventures of Cyclops/Phoenix' mini with Essex's origin was absolutely superb, imo. I was disappointed that his 2005 X-Men run was not at that same quality level.

Yeah Fabe's Sinister was great and really laid the bedrock for how the character would be developed post-Claremont.
Milligan's 2nd X-men run was dissapointing yeah, but I loved how he handled Apocalypse from a character perspective. Shame Sinny didn't show up...

A Sinister origins would be a great read. I'd also like to see his connection to High Evolutionary explored as well, along with some much overdue interaction between him and Magneto (who I'd be pretty sure wouldn't approve of Sinister).

Weapon X #26-28 felt a little weird. But the build up was beautiful.
