Sentinel K

So, with the new status quo and some new X-books out there after messiah complex, how many more titles are you picking up now?

psycwave

So I assume this poll is in contrast to how many books we have dropped thread...

Does the number of people who look at this thread also count in the statistical analysis?

Sentinel K
06-26-2008, 01:37 PM
I'm not pretending that this thread is in any way accurate as to what people are buying.

I just think that the other side of the coin needed to be represented.

This poll is biased as there is no option for "ALL"

I am at a loss to explain how this poll seems to be contradicting a similar poll on the first page. People are buying more and less books at the same time?

I dont think many will read the topic of the poll much. Notice it says how many MORE are you getting than before rather than how many you are getting all together.

So HI-FI per the poll it said you are buying 5 more x-titles than before since messiah. Is that really true?

Well I find it hard to believe that one storyline caused someone to buy 5 more books than before.

I'm currently getting two more, but am highly considering dropping Cable for it's shear lack of anything good.

Guess people are already voting on the poll wrong like I said they would. Bad stories lead to book dropping. I said 4 and gave my reasons lol. Read the first post of a thread and there would not be this type of misunderstanding.

Perhaps when the poll is closed Pete will perform a t-test to see the accuracy! Otherwise Marvel might have to not take a CBR poll seriously and that would just be a tragedy

But yet you find it hard to believe someone picked them all up because they enjoyed the storyline? True, Messiah Complex wasn't great, but I have enjoyed the direction the books have taken.

This poll is flawed because people are voting how many books they buy rather than how many more they buy. I do not have to be Emma Frost to see that.

And if one thread was so bad why make another one to take up space on the board?

According to the amount of views, added to the tangential dirigible of the Axis line of The voting mainframe shows us that comic sales have gone up bt 26.758386%
This coinciding with the factual 7% drop in comics, means that I'm great.

Really because i voted on how many more as I thought the others were. I mean the question is pretty clear. It asks how many more are you buying and that is what everyone seems to be answering.

No. You think that simply because YOU don't like the books and think that everyone else should think the same.

You have no evidence that says that people aren't buying 5 more books than before. Even if they aren't.

Awesome thread!

During MC I was reading all for books, before it (and endangered species) I wasn't reading UXM or NXm. With DWS I was reading everything, except YXM. I now dropped Wolverine, I was buying it for Aaron. I don't read first class, I didn't get the Colossus origin, and the only "origin" I'm getting is Beast, at the moment. I dropped AXM during Whedon and now I start again for Ellis. I dropped Origins a long way ago, and I'll be reading again only for the crossover. I am sure trying Deadpool. Is there anything else?

Imraith Nimphais

Wot might just be interesting is the end-result overall combined percentage correllation as to wot was dropped/picked up...e.g. I collected only 4 titles pre-MC but dropped 3 AND picked up 1, post-MC...so currently, all i'm collecting are 2 x-books...someone else may have collected 6, dropped none and picked up 4...so their overall tally would be 10...you catch my drift...good luck to the poor beast who takes up that challenge (I'll buy the excedrine gel-tabs and/or the loaded magnum 45)...but it could be interesting.

Well I find it hard to believe that one storyline caused someone to buy 5 more books than before.

Why? I've added X-Force, Uncanny, Legacy (if you count it as being a different book from Adjectiveless), the Divided We Stand one-shots, and I'm going to be picking up Astonishing X-Men: Second Stage when it comes out. I also still read X-Factor and First Class.

Pre-MC, i collected Astonishing, Uncanny, X-Men, Exiles, X-Factor (tpb).

Post-MC, i've been collecting Uncanny, Legacy, New Exiles, Young X-Men, GeNext, X-Force, (and going to get) Astonishing 2nd .
I sorta dropped X-Factor, since I won't be picking up the Arcade Arc Tpb, but most probably will pick up X-Factor starting #33.

I (sorta) dropped 1 book, but gained 3 more. So post MC, I've been collecting 2 more X-books.

That's not what the poll says. It's asking how many more books are you picking up since MC, not how many more books are you picking up BECAUSE of MC.

Dizzy D

2 more, 3 if we count Captain Britain. And with Astonishing probably going on a slightly more regular schedule now, I believe the net-gain will be even bigger.

Um... two?

Pre-MX
-Astonishing X-Men
-New Excalibur
-New X-Men
-Uncanny X-Men
-Wolverine (sometimes)
-X-Factor
-X-Men

Post-MX
-Astonishing X-Men
-Captain Britain & MI:13
-Uncanny X-Men
-Wolverine (sometimes)
-Wolverine: Fist Class
-X-Factor
-X-Force
-X-Men Legacy
-Young X-Men

I'm picking up the same.

I tried Young Avengers but didn't like it.

Cable just didn't appeal to me, even though I liked Cable & Deadpool.

I've added Cable and X-Force since MC ended. X-Force is awesome, Cable is getting the benefit of the doubt that it will pick up in the second arc.
