Out of all of those, I'm only going to be getting the first one. So, woo.

Right now it's a toss up between NWTD and the Stern/Weeks story, but I'm leaning heavily toward the first. I'm honestly looking forward to nearly all of them, and I'm interested in checking out "Mr. and Mrs. Spider-Man".

I'm really looking forward to New Ways to Die.
John Romita Jr's writers on Amazing Spider-Man always had limitations in terms of giving him cool stuff to draw (JMS wanted to introduce his new villains, Roger Stern focused on the Hobgoblin and Marvel villains Spider-Man hadn't fought before, Mackie sucked) so this could end up being career best stuff for him.
Plus, it's a story Slott's been building towards. Given how compressed his stuff is, if a story's six parts long, it's going to be epic.
And everything I hear about the story is stuff I'd look forward to regardless...
Spider-Man VS the Thunderbolts
Anti-Venom
Norman Osborn VS Menace
The return of Mary Jane

It's a real disappointment that I am the only one voting for JDM.
The return of DeFalco and Frenz to Spider-Man

Those same two for me, with DeMatteis' story then making three. I've been off of the Spidey titles since pre-OMD and only occasionally give the BND books a glance at my LCS, but the deluge of great upcoming stories and returning creators has me quite interested in getting back into the Spidey books again.

I'm in for the Defalco and Frenz Mr. and Mrs. Spider-man stories along with the intro to the new Kraven, if it's good, and Slott and Jrjr NWTD story line.

Rather predictably i went for New Ways To Die.
JRJr is my favourite Spider-Man penciller only after Steve Ditko (and level with his father). Plus i've enjoyed the Dan Slott BND issues better than the rest (they've all been fantastic though).

New Ways to Die , but only because I hope it can deliver a great BND Spider-Man story for a change.....

I'm only getting Slott/Romita Jr., Stern/Weeks and Kelly/Bachalo out of those mentioned. Most excited for NEW WAYS TO DIE because two of my favourite creators and some of my favourite characters appear - Spidey, Osborn and Bullseye.

I'm looking forward to the secret invasion spider man. I'm loving the event and I'm interested to see how the series ties in with spiderman. The other runs in asm will be good to and ill wait for them to come up.

It's set in the Spider-Girl continuity, when May is a year or so old and focuses on Peter and MJ.

A real same that this poll is not multi optional cause I would have also voted for DeFalco and Stern, cause those three (along with DeMatteis) three of the best Spider-Man writers for me.

I thought about it, but just decided to make people choose. Believe me, it was a tough choice for me, too.

I put other because none of this stuff is exciting me anymore. They have managed to kill my interest in the character.
the anti-venom thing; wtf.
I'd seriously buy "Old Comics To Read" if AUNTIE Venom were a reality.

I'm looking forward to the issue guest starring the man without fear. I can't wait to see how things are between matt murdich and peter parker after the whole mephisto thing.

All of them.
Venom
06-29-2008, 07:56 AM
This is a very tough choice, but I'm gonna have to go with "New Ways Die" because Dan Slott's writing it, John Romita Jr's drawing it, it's six parts long, Anti-Venom, Norman Osborn's long awaited return to Spider-Man comics and it's also featuring the Thunderbolts. Need I say more?

i voted for Slott/Romita Jr. "New Ways To Die"
Slott is great and JR JR one of my favorite spidey artists, so i think that will be a hit for me.
