I have to disagree about Rachel's hair. She always looks better with short hair (even the mullet). It's not model fierce, and that's an intended perk. Rachel's personality just doesn't suit long lair. Plus, she needs a distinctive look, else she looks too much like her mom.

I don't mind Rachel with short hair either, but the way Alan Davis and others drew her hair a few years ago was absolutely dreadful. Bachalo did a much better job with Rachel's hair, and Billy Tan was hit and miss, but at least better than Davis.

I'd rather Rachel have her own identity (and hairstyle) and not have long hair like Jean.

It's not about the hair, everyone has perfectly volumized and shampooed and conditioned hair, it's about the way they ROCK it.

Lady Mastermind's pouf is one of my favorite things I've ever seen in a comic book; it's so fresh and modern over any normal hairstyle. And it's straight pretty consistent since it's been introduced.

I hate when women aside from Sersi have long long longbeautiful flowing to their hips hair. It's gross, see a woman like that in the streets (with those Selene abs?!) and I would vomit.

I agree that his pointy hairdo was definitely necessary when he first came out, as it distinguished him without his mask and made him stand out in a crowd (i.e., made him more recognizable). Having said that, now that Wolverine has been around for awhile, I like the idea that he might change his hairstyle to something a little more modern and less...I don't know...70's looking. I also like the fact that it's gray in that pic. IMO the gray hair just underscores the fact that he's an older guy who's seen his fair share of battles. Basically, it makes him look more like the grizzled veteran fighter that he is, which is why I love this look for Logan and wish he would adopt it in the present-day Marvel U.

Had Marvel not overloaded him, let him ink his own stuff, his X-Treme and New work would've been AMAZING, like his Cable/Soldier-X was. He was insanely fast though... if Quitely or Van Sciver were given the same sort of scheduling, I doubt their work would've been quite so pretty.

He had the first issue of Excalibur completely drawn btw, and released it on his website. It was still semi-rushed as the original plan for the title was bi-weekly, but even still it's like a 1000x better than the samey shit we got on the book. Kordey really got a raw deal from Marvel...

i want to see this, is there a link? kordey always struck me as someone who could be better given a specific genre, but the stuff i've seen just seemed so pathetic, and i know i could do better even. i have the feeling he is just very stylized and maybe someone else likes it, but maybe he'd be better on zombie or horror books. i have never seen him on his A-game, so now i am very curious and am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt!

the only reason rachel lives in her mommy's shadow is because she constantly has to compare herself to her. once she lets herself be her own person, she will realize that in being her own person, she can still have things in common with her mother and let her personality determine who she is, not her dumb hair or stupid costume. rachel should grow her hair long. she's much younger than jean still, and her hair can reflect that while being long. its still much different than jean's.

i want to see this, is there a link? kordey always struck me as someone who could be better given a specific genre, but the stuff i've seen just seemed so pathetic, and i know i could do better even. i have the feeling he is just very stylized and maybe someone else likes it, but maybe he'd be better on zombie or horror books. i have never seen him on his A-game, so now i am very curious and am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt!

Because Kordey was essentially drawing another book simultaneously. I think X-Treme would've greatly benefitted if Kordey wasn't picking up slack for the slow New X-Men artists and was allowed to ink his own work.

More like 7-9 I think. Jean would've been around 29-30 when she died in NXM (and that's counting her year or so "out" due to her DPS death), but Rachel's roughly Kitty's age now (so 21-ish) thanks to being outside time for about a year and half herself. Jean became Phoenix at 22-23, but Rachel was just 16-17 comparably.

And mentally, Jean's got another 10 years on her thanks to FAOC&P. In a sense, Jean was nearly 40 years old when she died last time.
