Hahahahaha!! God bless British knee-jerk sensationalist media.
What's said is referred to in the comic but it's very unlikely to be true.
It's a very tenuous article, that.

Does anyone have the issue by issue story? DC should have printed a "part 1" or something on each issue so the reader will to know where the story crosses from book to book.
My understanding is that the first 2 issues of Batman are part 1 & 2, yes?
I read these & W T $#@!???????

The story is completely contained within the main Batman title.
The other books merely tie into it.

But if you don't get the Nightwing, Robin, or Outsiders issues, you won't know how RIP affects Nightwing, Robin, and the Outsiders. So if you don't pick up the tie-ins, you don't get the full scope of the story.

But if you're not already picking up Nightwing, Robin, Outsiders... anyway, why would you even care how RIP is affecting these characters you don't care about enought o buy their book?

I have to agree. The only "tie-in" book I'll be getting is Robin. I care what happens to the character, but the others? Meh.
Btw: If Bruce goes away, or whatever may happen, do you think he'll still be the head of the Outsiders? What might occur with that title should he go away?

Ha!
So the Mayor in the fictional world of a Batman comic is trying to ruin Bruce's reputation by leaking (probably) false Wayne family secrets to the Gotham Press...
...and now a real tabloid paper is picking them up.

Doesn't sound ridiculous to me.
People are crazy.

Because even if you're just reading about Batman, you clearly know Nightwing and Robin enough to be interested in how they are affected by RIP. If you don't like the Robins, you're not all that invested in the Bat mythos then.

You are exactly the kind of reader DC prey for at night.

That's some fantastic out of context journalism. Just forget that this evidence has been turned in by what could be the villain of the story. it could be false and a red herring.
Naw. It's a dirty new take on Batman by a blasted Scot writer. Ach. Never trust a Scot.

Holy crap! This is what Morrison was talking about. The living DC Universe is bleeding across.. well.. the bleed and into the real world.

Or one thinks that their book's currently suck and are not worth reading, which a tie-in is not really going to help with.

God I would hate that if it were true. It just sounds like a story a tabloid would cook up...
If Bruce were a normal well adjusted fellow, he'd laugh this ridiculous thing off, but we know he's not, so guess he's in for plenty of angst.

It actually seems to be a story cooked up by the villain trying to mentally break Batman down. To me, it makes perfect sense in context. There's a ton of weird things going on and Batman's trying to find out who's behind it all.

And I am now officially past being surprised at what comic book writers will do to shock people into reading a book. The raping of Sue Digby was the low point for sure.

I can't decide what's harder to believe... The Sunday Mail making up a story on a Batmùan comic out of something a villain said and a quote that is badly ripped out of it's original concept, or that there are actual comic fans falling for it.

There's actually a long Batman tradition of people accusing Thomas Wayne of crazy things that turn out to be false. I can think of at least a couple of issues with that plot.
I'm 99% sure that's what Morrison is doing here. But if that 1% turns out to be the case, Morrison will officially erase the goodwill he's earned from me for All-Star Superman and his better issues of Batman.

Sues it? Bruce will BUY the paper and close it down entirely, that's what's going to happen!

I know. I assume you've heard him talking about using "sigils" and other sorts of magic to influence reality?? I've heard Alan Moore talk about this stuff too, and thought it was crap, but now.... (<-sarcasm, sort of)
This is almost the equivalent of the NY Daily News picking up J. Jonah Jameson's accusations about Spider-Man. Insane.

Um.. Batman's mom surrouned by hiw father and two other guys? What, you want to nitpick that you can't have an orgy with only five people?
carabas

I might want to nitpick that your definition of 'five' is a bit lacking.
Whatever happened, all we know right now is what some villain is trying to pass off as the truth.

I hope this isn't true. Why are they killing heroes left and right (Spiderman, The Hulk, and now Batman)

Well said ! I like Robin and i like NW as much as Batman but B.Jones,Beechen and co made me drop both those comics.
As much you like characters, you want a good read. You cant enjoy messed version of your favorit, seeing their comics sucking.
