In a Newsarama interview about an upcoming X-Men issue, (http://www.newsarama.com/comics/080619-SternXMen.html) Roger Stern revealed the artist for his issue of Amazing Spider-Man: Lee Weeks.

Looking forward to that issue even more.

Roger Stern's probably the second best Spider-Man writer ever.

And Lee Weeks has done gorgeous work with the character before, especially in his Death & Destiny mini-series, and the Tangled Web three parter with Bruce Jones. I'd love to see him join the artists stable at Amazing Spider-Man.

Agreed and agreed: Stern's '80's run is tremendously accomplished and a true golden era of any writer on any comic. It is astounding how well all those issues hold up a quarter century later and still do not seem as dated as others from that same time.

I love Lee Weeks' work as well and they are currently reprinting the Death and Destiny mini (one of the best of the many Spidey minis) in Spiderman Family.

Weeks is one of my favorite artists, and he works far too rarely. Really, really looking forward to this.

Freaking Weeks, that's who!

Check out the latest Cap Marvel mini, if you're unfamiliar with him. Very solid penciller.

He just drew the Captain Marvel miniseries that led into Secret Invasion, drew parts of the Bruce Jones Hulk run, and some of DG Chichester's Daredevil back in the 90s.

He's done some Spider-Man work in the past, too.

Nice! Here's hoping he sticks around the Spidey books for awhile.

Lee Weeks is a fantastic artist. When I first came across his work I wasn't too impressed but he has dramatically improved and has become one of my favourite artists....

Roger Stern and Lee Weeks working together on a Spider-Man story. I can't wait for that. I'm hoping the Hobgoblin will be in it as well.

If I remember correctly from the Crawl Space interview with Stern, it's a one-off with a Marvel villain Spider-Man hasn't fought before.

Though he is open to doing more Hobgoblin stories in the future.

Now that's interesting. Who could it be? I mean Spidey's practically fought most of the Marvel villains.

I hope Stern knocks it out of the park, but it's often tough for me to really enjoy it when old writers come back. Still, I loved his first run all those years ago.

Weeks of course is great.
