So, Parker of Deltorofilms.com, Kirk, Gary (gdeo), and myself recorded an episode of the podcast together. Topic of conversation was ofcourse the Hellboy movie series. We talk candidly about our feelings.

We also discuss the films and our thoughts going into the first film and our anticipation leading into the upcoming sequel.

The plan is to either record a new episode shortly after we leave the fan screening in a couple weeks or soon thereafter. I'll be taking an audio recorder and video camera to capture the fan mayhem. Maybe I can get it up on youtube or somewhere for those of you missing out to catch.

So, then. Here's the audio.

Aw, then I'd have to sue you. You and Kirk both have great radio voices though. If you're willing, I'd love you both back on future shows.

Hey...I listened to this podcast and it was a great conversation. Thanks for the post. That one bit about the advertising for the movie... i would have to say that people that arent fans are really getting into this movie. My friends and family have been coming up to me and asking me about the movie. These people know that i am a big fan of hellboy, but they never really had any interest in it. None of them saw the first movie and they only really know about it through me, but they are coming up to me to say how awesome it looks and how excited they are for it to come out. so i think the advertising is starting to attract more of an audience that is outside of the realm of hellboy. i am really excited to see their reactions after the movie comes out though.

I'll just go ahead and apologize to everyone now. Sorry. If the sound of my voice doesn't make you irritated my inane babbling will send you to Slumberland.

I'm like Gary and am annoyed by my voice. But I will say it was a blast and I'd love to do another - though I think I will use one of those text-to-speech things to replace my drone. Thanks for including us, Spyda - just hope it doesn't destroy the credibility of your show. ;)

Send what you think the answer is to fanboy.confidential -at- gmail dot com.

I hope to pick a winner and send the books out when I get back from LA.

Really a bundle of fun, guys. And gdeo & kirk: the cool display of wit both as interestingness will be familiar to Hellboard visitors.

My take in how I don't mind the love relationship is that it seems to follow the Hollywood-rules of the 'leading man getting the leading woman'. So basically, to me Del Toro succeeded in creating a true Hollywood Hellboy and even the love-aspect is made to be acceptable.

My take on the 'new angle' would be: to me in the first movie HB proves himself 'as a human' (no medal by the president with cheers nation-wide but I hope it will never come to something like that - still we get the sighting pictures in the papers the HB amid the crowd and the kitten rescue and all - even a 'comic reader' milk boy). So if in movie 1 we've seen HB the human, I hope that in movie 2 we get to see more of HB the demon (by means of a weird angel talking into him?).
Anyway, I would love to be hearing more of the 'Hellboard seniors' on future episodes!

We record over the internet using Skype so, you're quite welcome to join us Jake. It'd probably be a bit of a nightmare to work out times that work for all of us though. What with day jobs and such.

After listening to it I found myself smiling, reliving the whole conversation. It was a lot of fun. My voice didn't bother me as much as I thought it would but I did have a tendency to just go on and on. What I liked most was the different views each of us had even though we were all fans of the same character.

It was great just talking about stuff we all enjoy. While you listeners had to endure 45 minutes of us, we talked for almost 3 hours! Mostly listening to Gary's many adventures in the Big City. What a blast. I'm glad that those that listened enjoyed what we had to share.
