Shoulders look somehow way too wide, I don't think it's just the lens. Hand position could be more dynamic too, with gun higher and stone hand more back... And legs... they could be more angular, they look a little bit too uniform.

Oh, it's so easy to criticise...

I humbly disagree. I like different takes on Hellboy...Bowen, So, etc. But what I don't need is a bunch of "people with HB make up on" statues. I have one of those, and they all look the same. I think I'm gonna snag the bronze version. Also for those of you that didn't want to put up the dough for the full scale Samaritan, they have the 1/4 scale up for pre-order for $44.

At an edition of 50*, they are pretty limited and should go quickly. $125 isn't cheap but I've paid more. Makes me wish I was there for preview night.


*Figures.com lists the edition size at 50 but the Mindzeye Studios site says there will be 200 bronze. Perhaps they are only bringing 50 to San Diego. No additional info on their web site.

I got an e-mai last night about it, and already pre-ordered the painted version. SO nice. The proportions are a 'little' wonky, but I love the base, and it'll be nice to have another comic book inspired HB statue on the shelf.

Wow, that painted HB statue looks really crackin'! The coolness of the base comes through much more it seems. But I'd like a shop kind of nearby (like Europe...) to order it from. Oh well, if that's not to be I'll just have to buy Mignola original art someday :smile:...
