Could the NEW THING (Spikey) have stopped the WORLD WAR HULK???

I'm not sure if there's a official power ranking done during this stage of Ben's transformations. for those not familiar to what I'm refering too, back in Fantastic Four issue #310 ( I believe), the Thing was re-exposed to the cosmic radiation storm. This dramatically accelerated his tranformation, turning him into a spiked powerhouse who's strength was incaculable (sp?) by Reeds machines.

Thing was easily in the higher class 100 group. He STOMPED the Grey Hulk with out so much as breaking a sweat. Lifting Kang's time ship, which Kang claimed it would require something like 10x's the Thing's known strength to do. Picked up Super Nova (a giant version of regular Nova, wierd) and threw him.

I cant find ANY real info on Ben during this time. So I figured it's a decent question.... New Thing vs. WWH

The spiky Thing was definitely stronger than the grey Hulk but in the end, the grey Hulk did knock him out in round 2 of the fight. The grey Hulk used cunning to wear the spiky Thing out. The advantage the Hulk has always had over the Thing is that the Hulk of any colour never gets tired and obviously gets stronger, whereas the Thing always gets tired.

The spiky Thing should have delivered the knockout blow to the grey Hulk but that robot Hulk turned up to distract him. There is no way that the spiky Thing would have beaten the WWH Hulk as he had the cunning of the grey Hulk coupled with the savage Hulk's strength. As seen in WWH, nobody could stop the Hulk, the Juggernaut failed, the Sentry failed and the bulk of the Marvel Universe failed. The WWH Hulk stopped himself.

Granted Fixit did knock him out in the end. But he was "tricked". In a straight fight Grey woulda been toast. Hulks fighting skills are no where on par with Ben's.

I mean, any clue or guess where the New Thing version ranked? Was he on par with Herc an Thor or on par with Namor wet (who supposedly is a class 100 now)... I wish I had all the issue with his spikey form so i could get a better idea of his strength feats.

Weeeelll, technically he was KO'ed by a bunch of satelites. Which is different to say he just stopped and hugged.

Actually, the Juggernaut just kept on running.
He bypassed the Hulk fight and went straight into Limbo.

I just reread Geoff Johns' Thing limited series and the entire 8 issue run of Dan Slott's Thing series. Now I remember why he used to be my favorite superhero.

So, I will, with unabashed prejudice and epic-level favortism, claim that Spikey Thing would have ended WWHulk with his little finger and a smoke ring from his stogie.

Hulk didn't actually beat Juggernaut as at his full power level it's basically not possible to physically beat him. Juggs decided to continue the fight once he got up the fight would basically be a neverending tie, as neither of them would ever be able to KO the other.
