And I stopped caring a loooong time ago. The schedule of this arc has been a disgrace.

Say what you want about Whedon's crap schedule, I did like what he and Ryan put out.
Not really a fan of Moore, and Ramos? The less said the better. I mean, she's wearing CROCS in the promo piece he did. FUGGIN' CROCS, man.

I'll miss the art, but I can't say that I'll miss the writing. Honestly, the time between issues is just ridiculous.

It's been so long I don't even know what's going on there and can't remember what came before. Whedon was bought on to elevate the Runaways. Instead he disgraced them and forced a third reboot on us.
This better have a damn good finish is all I can say.
Ramos :(

I'm glad that it is finally coming to an end. Hopefully the next run will be more on time.

And there was much celebrating. Thank goodness it's finally over. Whedon's run has been mediocre at best.
Bring on Terry Moore. And hopefully the book will be back to greatness once again.

I have to thank Whedon for hand picking Ryan to draw his Runaways. It made sure that Ryan was not drawing Marvel books that I buy every month. Whedon has my gratitude for this.

What did the Lillie girl do again? Was she the wind dancer?

Which people do wear.
Anyways, glad to see this arc finally end. I feel bad for Moore and Ramos who now have to launch with a new #1 do to the delays.

Yeah I'm pretty sure she was the girl who could fly when she heard music.

I'm not sure why it effected him (cause y'now, android), but it was pretty heavily implied that the girl had the power to make men completely obsess over her. "War's have been fought over me"
I enjoyed Lillie and Clara, but the wait was ridiculous.

Ramos :(
Seconded.
I read the preview and I was like... 'there was a bomb?' No idea whats going on...
Seriously, how long has it been since the last issue? 3 months? I dont care how good the arc is (which was pretty average if you ask me), 3 months is an absolutely ridiculous wait between issues.
I still miss BKV and Alphona. :(

Oh, cool thanks!
I feel like a typical New Warriors reader. I don't know who all these characters are and I would like a recap page with little bubbles for every character and tiny descriptions.

I think it has to do with the fact that there has been huge time gaps between each issue.

.
Maybe your mother, sure.
It's completely indicative of how Ramos just doesn't get the tone or tenor established by Alphona or even Ryan. I'm all for making your own mark, but not at the expense of established characterization.
And if that don't get you, the overexaggerated anime-esque facial contortions certainly will.

A different choice of footwear is a violation of someone's established characterization?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but noone in any of the Runaways issues have ever said the following....
"Ewww.... Crocs suck, I wouldn't be caught dead in those."

So um, does anybody want to give a little paragraph or two of what happened in this whole arc? I just know they were trying to steal something for the kingpin, but traveled back in time with it instead, saw some dead girls parents' and are trying to be killed?
What I'm looking forward to is the new run and how they handle coming back to the present day since the Kingpin is obviously in jail since then(right?) and I'm guessing they've missed months of time and a skrull invasion(will the tranny-skrull be disappointed?).

They met Gert's parents the Yorkes, time travelling members of the Pride (the supervillain group that their parents belonged to) who had been manipulating events in 1907. Chase told them that she'd died, and they understandably didn't take the news well. They decided to change Gert's history with their time machine. But instead Chase stole it and abandoned his friends, leaving the Runaways to be caught in the middle of a huge superhuman gang war.
They don't miss the skrull invasion, they come back just in time for the start of the invasion in Secret Invasion: Runaways/Young Avengers. Xavin plays a huge role in that mini, but I'm confident that in the end she won't side with the Skrulls and will instead betray the empire in order to help her friends.
Terry Moore's run will deal with them returning to L.A. after Secret Invasion and having to deal without one of their parents' secret lairs to hide out in. It's also going to deal with the surviving Majesdanians (Karolina's alien race whose planet was decimated during a conflict with the skrulls) blaming Xavin and Karolina for their failure.

^ Thanks for the explanation, the names are coming back to me now
Well hopefully everything will start to smooth over in the runaways/YA SI and Moore will do a good job in the new run.

Not really. I see tons of kids wearing them here (southern California) So if anything, it's right on. And I think it's funny that one drawing with crocs counts going against established characterization.
And Ramos' animated style is fine by me. It actually fits the book better than Ryan does currently, considering Alphona would draw plenty of exaggerated people in the book.Takeshi Miyazawa's style didn't seem to jarring on the book, don't see why Ramos' will.

I think Ramos is a great choice for this title. My number one choice would have been Skottie Young, and I feel that Ramos has a lot of that same vibe.
