Crazy "Adventures of Superman" episode

I was just seeing an episode of "Adventures of Superman", season 1 (the George Reeves series) called The Secret of Superman where there were these crooks trying to discover Superman's secret identity via a truth serum. They would give the serum to the Daily Planet staff since they deduced that they knew Superman's identity, since they ran so many exclusive stories.
Anyway, they give the serum to Lois Lane and question her and the bad guy says:
"Could it be that Superman hides his identity beneath the cleverest disguise? Could it be that Superman... is a woman?"
Yes, he suspected Lois of being Superman. Soon after he realizes how stupid that is and deduces that Clark is Superman, but since the crook dies at the end of the episode, Superman's secret is safe.

Anyway, they give the serum to Lois Lane and question her and the bad guy says:

Not so crazy if he thought Superman was a shape shifter.

Well, Martian Manhunter disguises himself as a woman sometimes.
Although I think he just does it to mess with Batman.
